AEM #8.5 | Alternative Elevator Music by Madera  (Mix Session, Jan 14, 2024)

Here is a mix I made of a lot of various AFX - Analord tracks, mixed with mostly newer electro by artists like Sound Synthesis and Sim80 among others.  I ended with a really old Lory D track that sounds a little bit too mental, industrial and dark to fit in with the rest of the mix, but oh well, it is not the particular Lory D track I was looking for, I guess the ending can be used to sober the listener up after floating and consuming all the AFX acid.  I just made another mix today similar to this one, but it is harder and faster lots more Aphex tracks as well as lots of Mover tracks and mental acid tracks by Lory D and Cane as well as lots of other tracks from as early as 1991.  Basically a lot of tracks that sound like Aphex Twin circa 1992.  I have been on a mission lately making mixes, I have about 5 more already don that I will be posting within the next few weeks.

Here is a vinyl mix I made of early 90's Aphex Twin and his aliases, lots of Mover tracks and his aliases, a few acid tracks, some dark heavy electro and some 1992 hardcore techno moving into lots of Analord tracks and similar Braindance tracks. Some of these records are selling for lots of money on Discogs nowadays, thank God I bought them when they came out back when I used to sell records in the 90's. This is part 4 of similar style mixes that I posted recently. I also have an older mix I made in the 90's on here called "Dark Mix" that is a very similar vibe. I recorded video of the vinyl mix being made that I will probably eventually put on my YouTube channel.

--Remastering all of the "Caustic Window LP" by Caustic Window (aka Aphex Twin)--

Since i always refused doing classes to improve my mastering techniques, i decided to learn it my way. Without any tutorial or youtube video, just using my ears and doing what sounds good to me.

That's why i decided to challenge myself and thought of doing personal remasters of tracks/albums that were notoriously badly produced or that are difficult to find in their original form, like in this case, since the "Caustic Window LP" digital files are all from a vinyl rip that doesn't really sound good and has a lot of hiss.

It's just an experiment not to take too seriously. I'm just training my ears and skills in mastering by playing with other people's music.

Thanks for the listens.  The more a certain syle of mix gets listened to it inspires me to make new ones in that style.

I have to use my records to justify my obsessive vinyl buying and collecting habit.  If there is a dope track on vinyl, I might own it or chances are I am going to buy it, sooner or later lol.

However my main obsessive focus lies mainly into old school electro and underground futuristic new school electro (Morphology, ERP, Versalife, Kan3da, Plant 43, 214, Analogical Force, CPU, AS1, Umwelt, AC records, Microlith, Armec, Sound Synthesis, Biochip, Illektrolab , Info, Lake Haze and many more), underground acid house (JTC - The Dancing Box and Creep Acid, 808 State Newbuild are some of my favorites), razor blade edits, Moog records, perverted comedy records, Bleeps and Breaks, 90-92 Hardcore techno and early rave tracks, smooth and sleek Detroit Style techno, electronic sound effect and obscure spoken word records and electronic listening music from the beginning to now..

As has been said by many others before, "There are 2 types of music, good music and bad music".

I have about 100 of my own tracks to finish, some are already done, some just need some fine tuning. I am going to use this channel mainly for Dj Mixes with a few of my own tracks on here as well.  Eventually they will get on my BandCamp, or even better, hopefully I will get something released on vinyl.
