هذا الميكس هو رحلة عبر المشاهد الصوتية لمناطق معظمها في وحول منطقة غرب آسيا وشمال أفريقيا. لكن رغم ذلك، اختيارنا ليس محصوراً جغرافياً أو حصرياً لهذه المنطقة التي نعتبرها موطننا. بدلاً من ذلك، يأخذنا إلى أصوات مألوفة من بلدان مختلفة، مع دمج الأنماط والأنواع بطرق تجعلها مألوفة ولكن في نفس الوقت مثيرة وجديدة.
هناك شيء عفوي جداً في كيفية تواصل الموسيقى مع الناس حتى عندما لا يفهمونها، أو لا يمكن تصنيفها بسهولة ضمن نوع معين أو إعطاؤها اسماً. هذا الإحساس كان الدافع لنا للاستمرار في الاكتشاف، وإعادة العمل وإعادة إصدار الموسيقى من خلال مشروعنا.
ومع أخذ ذلك في الاعتبار، قررنا أنه من المنطقي أن ندرج بعض الإصدارات من شركتنا التي كانت بداية رحلتنا والتي لامستنا على الفور بنفس الطريقة.

This mix is a journey through the soundscapes of regions mostly in and around the SWANA region. Despite this, our selection is not limited geographically and exclusively to this part of the world that we get to call home- it takes us back to sounds that are familiar from across different countries, all the while bending genres and styles into something recognizable yet intriguing and novel. There is something very intuitive about how music speaks to people even when it can’t be understood, or easily coded into genre or given a name. This has been the catalyst to keep going and discovering, reworking and reissuing music with our project. With that in mind we thought it would only make sense to include some of the releases from our label that started us on this journey and that spoke to us almost instantly in that very same way.

كما يكشف الستيريوسكوب عن العمق والأبعاد، منصتنا تكشف عن طبقات من القصص والأصوات، تتقاطع وتتشابك لتخلق تجربة موسيقية غنية. وُلد في العالم العربي كإثبات وجود صوتي، ليكون مساحة للموسيقيين للتعبير، للمقاومة، وللتأمل—أحيانًا عن قصد وأحيانًا فقط لأن الأمر يستحق ذلك.

Like a stereoscope reveals depth and perspective, our platform uncovers layers of stories and sounds, intersecting and intertwining to create a rich musical experience. Born in the Arab world as a sonic proof of existence, it’s a space for musicians to explore, resist, and reflect—sometimes with intention, sometimes just for the f**k of it.
