For the first episode, we couldn’t be more thrilled to invite Lyon-based Brazilian DJ Trepanado (@selvagem) for a trip into the deepest corners of our music catalog, resulting in a delicately curated, two-hour-long set that will have you hooked from start to finish.

With a vast repertoire, impeccable technique, and performances that impress the most perceptive music lovers, Trepanado has become a well-known figure in Brazil and the global music scene. Having earned his reputation as a master music digger and insatiable party player, his talent has taken him on tours across the Americas and Europe.

 From his own Selvagem’s mythical Carnival party in Rio to the prestigious Dekmantel festival in Amsterdam, Trepanado spreads his unique musical influence, captivating audiences worldwide with his unparalleled passion for Brazilian musical heritage, as well as electronic and disco music.

We had the opportunity to chat with him and learn more about his trajectory, early obsessions, musical inclinations, and thoughts on Revibed.

Considered a bon vivant, a football pundit, and a musical polymath, our second selector hardly needs an introduction. When it comes to the world of music journalism, DJing, music history and taste, Bill Brewster is our guy! A massive record collector from age 10, Bill’s initial passion for the Punk Rock movement eventually got him into the world of dance music, which he had a go for and turned into a living, documenting it through his writing and eclectic DJ sets. 

Brewster's deep understanding of music and DJ culture led him, along with his all-time best buddy Frank Broughton, to publish ‘Last Night a DJ Saved My Life’. Regarded as an essential work on the subject, the book explores the origins of the DJ, from radio to the dance floor, providing a comprehensive exploration of memorable moments and the impact of the disc jockey.

A devotee of good gatherings, Bill has played everywhere—from his own mythical Low Life parties, encompassing two decades of friendships and memories, to Boiler Room sets and many magical Houghton Festivals. Always with a hip-loosening attitude toward the crowds, he masterfully crafts genre-fusing sessions from his vast collection of rarities, spanning intimate disco funk to obscure house.

For this occasion, he put together a mix full of jams dug from the Revibed vault that will take you for spin across decades and sensations. We were able to catch up with him to see how life is going, hear from his recent projects and insightful opinions about all things music.

They say the energy of the city that never sleeps is as boundless as its skyline, where every moment is charged with endless possibilities. In the third episode of our Selectors series, we spotlight Amelia Holt, a Mexico-born artist redefining Brooklyn's electronic scene, one beat at a time. With her fresh approach to DJing, Holt’s sets are as multifaceted and experimental as her eclectic endeavours.
 
From hosting her own Honey Trap parties and designing sensual lingerie to managing an artist agency and curating playful audiophile board game nights, Holt is a dynamic force truly deserving of the Big Apple. As a resident at The Lot Radio, she experiments with eccentric and vibrant beats, while her monthly music newsletter 'In Your Dirty Ears' offers hypnotic and transformative soundscapes to its readers.

Amelia has shared the stage with rising and veteran stars such as Call Super, Skatebård, Lena Willikens, and Emkay, and set off venues like Kiosk Radio in Belgium and HÖR in Germany. Her contagious rhythm has also traveled to Canada, Mexico, Portugal, Serbia, Spain, and Georgia, where she has at times made her mark with her intimate party format.

While gearing everything up for her next Honey Trap edition on September 20, she chatted with us and crafted a mix for the Revibed community that’s packed with uplifting dance grooves. It's the perfect way to wrap up summer—just as we started it: dancing our hearts out.

Under the northern lights of the UK’s club circuit, where the raw spirit of Middlesbrough merges with a cosmic blend of rhythms, we present the fourth episode of our Selectors series featuring REES. Known for his eclectic style and fearless experimentation, REES draws from the obscure side of electronic music, effortlessly weaving acid, electro, EBM, and leftfield house into his pulsating sets and productions.

As a resident digger of unique sounds, he carefully curates his own labels to unearth hidden gems. Co-founding Magic Ritmo in 2023, he has been instrumental in reviving rare cuts from the likes of Adel Dhibi and G.F.X., breathing new life into celebrated tracks and putting fresh, cosmic sounds onto the turntables. Paradiso Records, his first label launched in 2018, reflects his passion for Italo and Newbeat.

In the studio, REES’s relentless love for analog grit and rhythmic intensity has led him to collaborate with labels like Bordello A Parigi and Palms Trax's CWPT, solidifying his status as a tastemaker in the world of electronic music. His latest project, Echo Ritual, leans into his darker sensibilities, connecting electro and EBM with a club-ready edge, set to ignite dance floors. Tracks like "Venom" and "Northern Chug" pulse with an innate energy that draws dancers deep into the grooves, while past releases like Lizardo Mode and Three Eyes showcase his talent for crafting hypnotic soundscapes brimming with textured synths and enigmatic rhythms.

Now, as he joins us to share a mix and exchange some words, REES invites listeners to journey through the refined edges of his magic touch—a dive into the mind of an artist who embraces pushing boundaries.

We bring you the fifth episode of our Selectors series featuring Prom Night, the alias of Shaquille Beck McGosh, straight from the heart of Denmark’s underground scene, where energy meets innovation on the dance floor. With a DJ career that began at the age of 14, Prom Night is becoming a beacon of Copenhagen’s house and disco revival, spinning sets that traverse sleazy disco, Italo house, afro-house, and acid with effortless finesse.

Born in Aarhus to South African parents, Shaquille grew up immersed in a world of soulful rhythms and eclectic grooves. His parents’ expansive record collection—spanning funk, jazz, RnB, and disco—sparked a lifelong passion that shines through in his DJ sets and productions. Today, as the founder of Prom Night Records, he blends the retro allure of '70s and '80s disco with the pulse of contemporary house, creating music that’s both nostalgic and forward-thinking.

Prom Night’s productions, like his Italo-disco-inspired debut track ‘Heat 84’ and his latest release, the melancholic ‘Planet Romantica’, showcase his ability to fuse radiant synths, rolling basslines and gleaming arpeggios into tracks capable of lighting up clubs across Scandinavia and beyond. From headlining festivals like Roskilde and Distortion to hosting his own disco and house nights at Copenhagen’s Culturebox, his growing influence on Denmark’s club scene is undeniable. His mixes, featured on platforms like HÖR Berlin and Rinse FM, offer a kaleidoscopic journey through dance floor weapons, from dreamy balearica to chugging basslines.

As he joins us to kick off the new year and chat about his musical universe, Prom Night delivers a mix that embodies his style: groovy, sparkly, and irresistibly rhythmic. A celebration of music that uplifts, unites, and invites you to dive into the waters of a promising artist.

Prom Night: Planet Romantica

Our next episode shines light on two longtime friends whose music is built on a deep love for vinyl digging, late-night jams, and the art of making people move. Their journey started with a shared obsession for hip-hop and soul, but it was their love for house music that set things in motion. From Munich’s underground clubs to festival stages everywhere from London and Paris to Mexico City and Melbourne, COEO has carved out a refreshingly modern space in the dance music scene. 

The German duo, composed by Andreas Höpfl and Florian Vietz, have spent years perfecting their blend of house and disco, crafting tracks that feel as timeless as they do fresh. Since their breakout releases on Toy Tonics & Razor-N-Tape, COEO has delivered a steady stream of dance floor heaters, from ‘Back In The Days’ and ‘Cabrio Mango’ to their widely loved ‘Like It Is’, racking up millions of plays. Their tracks have been rinsed by the likes of Disclosure, Gerd Janson, and Moodymann for their deep grooves, jazzy melodies, and a strong nod to the golden era of disco.

Now, with their latest releases, they’ve taken things even further into expansive territory, diving deep into the worlds of Italo and house. At the heart of Eternal Waves EP lies a contemporary approach where synth melodies and funky bass guitar intertwine with crisp progressive house textures and dreamy arpeggios. Currently sold out but with a repress on the way, their Planet Earth EP, released on the UK label Shall Not Fade, denotes their evolving musical identity and versatility, crafting deep, dancefloor-ready cuts—a clear sign that their journey is still unfolding. And with no signs of slowing down, these boys remain one of the most exciting duos in house music today. 

As they join us to chat about their journey, inspirations, and what’s next, expect nothing less than pure groove from two selectors who know exactly how to set the tone for the new season.
