Cruel Eyes

Marc Matter, long-time Salon des Amateurs affiliate, is a sound artist, word composer, and DJ exploring the space between language and sound. A founding member of Institut für Feinmotorik and The Durian Brothers, he’s released solo work on Futura Resistenza, Chocolate Monk, and Tanuki, and co-runs the sonic poetry label Spoken Matter. After a decade-long DJ hiatus, he returns to the decks with eclectic sets blending technoid noise, field recordings, spoken word, and sonic oddities from past and future.

Neon Riot is a solo project blending drum&bass, screamo, rhythmic noise, punk, and more.

The songs are set in fictional totalitarian worlds.  No direct names, just symbols of how freedom disappears, how silence becomes survival, and how identity fades under control.

 Sounds: Punk, Drum&Bass, Rave
 Themes: Surveillance, erasure, resistance, collapse, exile
