Spektakl opowiada o muzykującej rodzinie von Trappów, która ucieka z Austrii przed nadchodzącym nazizmem, w Polsce jest przed wszystkim znana jego filmowa wersja z Julie Andrews i Christopherem Plummerem w rolach głównych. "Dźwięki muzyki" to pierwszy musical, w którym występowała gromadka dzieci i jeden z  niewielu, które zmiażdżyli krytycy (zarzucając mu ogólne przesłodzenie), a pokochali widzowie. Jak słusznie zauważono w jednej z gazet, ten tytuł "nie podobał się nikomu z wyjątkiem widzów".

Films discussed include: the Golden Bear winner Dreams (Sex Love) from director Dag Johan Haugerud, Blue Moon (directed by Richard Linklater and starring Ethan Hawke and Andrew Scott, who won a Silver Bear for Best Supporting Performance), and Girls on Fire from director Vivian Qu.

“True music and creativity caught me early this morning. I decided to record a vocal-guitar track and make a music video of the classic musical and Christmas song 'My Favorite Things', from my favorite musical classic 'The Sound of Music', written by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, and recorded and performed by the incredibly talented and beautiful Julie Andrews, who starred in the amazing film musical about the true story of the real-life Von Trapp Family. 'The Sound of Music' theater musical was made in 1959, along with this beautiful song, and the film musical was made in 1965, starring lovely Julie Andrews, and a live TV special 'The Sound of Music Live!' in 2013, starring gorgeous Carrie Underwood. Other talented artists that have recorded and performed 'My Favorite Things' include Diana Ross, Kenny Rogers, and Trisha Yearwood, among so many other talented artists. 'My Favorite Things' has always been a genuine stable throughout my life.” (November 19, 2025) 

My Favorite Things

The most meaningful interests of my life include: my daughter, Keira Lynn, writing my own songs, as well as singing from my soul. Music has always been the first love of my life, specifically, country music. The day Keira was born she proved, to me, that love truly is beautiful.

I have always been a songwriter and a poet, as well as a singer at heart. I can spend hours on end just sitting and writing and picking guitar or messing around on the piano/keyboard. The sound of a violin/fiddle just strikes my heart down to my soul, which is why I took up the violin at the age of twenty-one. My daughter, Keira, gives me reason to live this life every day. I was diagnosed with myasthenia gravis, MG, an autoimmune muscle weakness illness, in July of 2011. Keira is such an inspiration to me, making me not want to give up, even when I get so weak. She is my song that lingers into hope. Keira will always continue to be the song of my whole life.

I am huge into writing my own songs (mainly a lyricist, while picking around with chords on guitar or putting some notes together on keys on the piano/keyboard or the violin/fiddle). I have been writing for several years and have taken two-and-a-half years of voice and guitar lessons. I just have never found exactly where to place my music. I always keep the hope and the prayer that success may be within the next page of my life.

Teatr Syrena został założony w 1945 r. w Łodzi przez grupę artystów przedwojennego kabaretu z Jerzym Jurandotem i Stefanią Grodzieńską na czele. Po trzech latach przeniósł się do Warszawy, gdzie działa przy ul. Litewskiej 3. Obecnie Syrena jest nowoczesnym teatrem musicalowym, w repertuarze łączy polskie wersje przebojów Broadwayu i West Endu („Rodzina Addamsów”, „Next to normal”, "Matylda") z autorskimi musicalami ("Kapitan Żbik i żółty saturator", "Bitwa o tron", "Piplaja").
