About the album:
This is a soundtrack to imaginary nightime streetscapes in a world that resembles our own.
Crumbling asphalt slick with oil and grease reflects the woozy glow of late night bodegas in acrid pink, yellow and green.
Drakkar Noir is a feceless figure who inhabits this world, an alias shamelessly lifted from a sleazy and long out-of-fashion scent, a brand name derived from a mashup of mythical pretensions and hollow advertising jargon. Part Human and part digital fiction, Drakkar Noir is, like the city itself, a shapeshifter who feeds and is fed by the collective dreams and nightmares floating above the buildings and into smoke-filled skies.

Dalmata Daniel is excited to introduce the eighth installment of their split series, featuring Filmmaker and Petros Spatharos. In this edition, they present a unique 3-3 track vinyl, marking the debut of the talented Colombian music maker on the label. For Athens-based producer Petros Spatharos, it's a welcome return after his previous contribution to the "Dalmata Daniel eats Lahmacun" compilation. Notably, this collaboration isn't their first, as Petros released his inaugural album on Body Musick, Filmmaker's very own imprint.

On the flip side of this release, Petros Spatharos continues to embrace obscurity, a common thread that ties his music to that of his split partner. However, his sound is characterized by its cleanliness and a distinct lack of chaos. Instead, it embodies an underground techno vibe with a highly controlled tempo and eerie acid undertones that seem to echo from beyond the grave. This journey into the inferno is laden with dark emotional atmospheres and hypnotic textures, culminating in a track premiere titled "Maneuver To Infinity," which showcases Petros's signature style.

Welcome to today's Meta Moto premieres, featuring the renowned artist Sopoorific, known not only for their captivating blood paintings but also for their musical contributions, notably from the Sun Dogs project. A true dungeon witch, Sopoorific presents a premier track titled "Liminal Limit," maintaining the ritualistic essence found throughout the album.

Following the success of 'Auras Around Humans' in 2021 and 'Waterfall Cave' in 2022, Grande Rousse Disques is thrilled to announce the unveiling of 'Ephemeral and Unseen,' Sopoorific's third tape.

Ephemeral and Unseen" invites listeners on a celestial journey through seven magical chapters, each a new age incantation that delves into the dizzying vastness of an enigmatic cosmos. With each step into its infinite depths, the astral ritual's echo resonates louder, its invisible forces enveloping the mind and heart. MM PREMIERE 033 | Sopoorific - Liminal Limit [Grande Rousse Records]

Kicking off the New Year with Yerevan-based DJ and producer yutani and his latest EP, Dead Whales. This four-track release explores ritualistic, esoteric electronica, crafted using a combination of DAW production and field recordings. Active in the music scene since 2020, yutani has released tracks on labels like Ferma, Get Busy, and many others.

Dead Whales is a sonic journey filled with rhythms and textures designed to evoke an esoteric atmosphere, drawing inspiration from yutani's childhood memories. The EP's title track incorporates whale sounds that are eerie and otherworldly, a choice so striking it inspired the EP’s name. In “Dle Yaman,” yutani weaves the vocals of legendary Armenian folk singer Hayrik Muradyan, performing the traditional song “Dle Yaman,” into his composition.

Dive into this esoteric blend of mysticism and sound. Enjoy the journey.

For this new full-length output, Gil.Barte delivers on Teenage Menopause an 8 tracks LP full of formal strength and psychedelic grandeur. Unlike the vast near-death explorations or trancey adventures he developped on various labels such as Neubau, Big Science Records, Homemade Soundsystem or his own imprint Meth'O'Tapes, the meaningfully-named « Claviceps Purpurea » is a botanist guide to the valleys of the mind.

From the eponym opening to the ending echo, each entry is a glance at magical universal exotica. With an intense emphasis on rhythm, standing quite apart from his former releases, Gil.Barte draws the bouncing steps of a whirlwind dance rooted in western witchcraft.

Raging pieces of club-destroying material (for those who dare) meet sketches of electronic fever-dreams. A full circle that is meant to run on and on, breaking the veil of daylight consciousness.
