Hey! I made a remix of Kendrick Lamar's 'Peekaboo' from his GNX album, mixing his signature style with the funky grooves of Nu Disco and the laid-back vibes of Neo Soul. Inspired by Kaytranada’s smooth, soulful beats, I wanted to see what Kendrick would sound like over a rhythm that’s got both depth and energy. It’s got that groovy, bass-driven vibe with smooth and jazzy chords, but still feels personal...like you’re vibing with Kendrick’s voice in a whole new way. I brought my own sound to it while staying true to that unique Kendrick vibe. Thank you all for listening!

CINØ is no stranger to adversity. An ambitious producer from a young age, he began creating beats in his hometown of Ottawa, Canada at age 13. Two decades later, he has become a powerhouse phenom across the Hip-Hop, R&B, EDM, House, Pop, Afro beat, and Reggaeton genres – but it wasn’t an easy ride to get there.
After years of learning his craft, CINØ was put to the test at the 2015 Battle of the Beat Makers competition in Toronto. In a new competitive environment that pitted producers against each other, he struggled to find his musical voice, a “horrible feeling” that he vowed never to feel again. The harsh reality of the industry marked the beginning of years of self-discovery and arduous learning curves as CINØ worked tirelessly to prove his production chops to the rest of the world. After “many battles with thoughts of quitting,” he chose to attend audio recording school at T.A.R.A (The Audio Recording Academy). He graduated from the program in 2017 and continued honing his skills across a diverse set of genres and moods.
In 2019, CINØ decided to return to Toronto once again to face his own past at the Battle of the Beat Makers competition. Armed with years of practice and personal growth forged in the fires of hardship, he wanted to prove it to himself as much as to his contemporaries that he had earned his place in the production world. A world away from his younger self in 2015, CINØ became a top-two finalist in 2019 and even earned an invitation back to future competitions. 
As strongly as CINØ has fought to earn his skills and his acclaim as a producer, he fights just as hard to continue perfecting his sound and releasing tracks that move both the body and the soul. As his journey continues to unfold, he plans to keep writing his own story – and you definitely don’t want to miss what’s coming next.
