Shamans of Sound are back with our first new release of 2023, a collaboration with Senegalese-Italian recording artist Awa Fall. Awa Fall has made a big splash in the European reggae scene over the past decade, and we were eager to work with this rising star. She heard Rob Paine's Solomonic Steppers Dub Remix of our "District Vibes" track and was immediately inspired to lay down vocals. Based in Italy and playing the One Love and Rototom Festivals, Awa Fall tours across Italy, Spain, France, Germany, UK and Poland. We are exciting to welcome such a hot vocalist to collaborate on this track, FREE YOUR MIND. Awa laid down some conscious and intelligent lyrics, so be prepared to free your mind and free your soul, Awa Fall meets Shamans of Sound!!!

Shamans were once found in all cultures and communities around the world, and these spiritual healers provided guidance to the people, helping them navigate the twists and turns of life, death and culture. Coming straight from the heart of Babylon itself in Washington, D.C. the Shamans of Sound are a talented group of musicians who have joined together to create sonic alchemy with conscious, groove oriented riddims.  The Shamans of Sound are united together in a common purpose; healing of the nation through their spiritual, mind altering sounds and vibrations.

A friend of good and independent music ...

Worship Recordings was established in the summer of 1998 in Philadelphia by Rob Paine. The concept was simple at first: they just wanted to put out their own music their own way. After the first few releases it became clear that they had dropped in on a genre of house music that has slowly but surely come to fruition, now being labeled by the massive as "dub house". They knew they were not the first to use the influence of Jamaican reggae music as a foundation for their house productions, but they definitely wanted to continue to push it to new heights in both the house community and progressive reggae scene. 

What started out as an in-house production label, Worship soon started to sign like- minded artists such as: Garth, Chris Udoh, Pete Moss, Solomonic Sound, Hakan Lidbo, Jay Tripwire and Grant Dell- just to name a few. Some Worship releases are more dub than house and vice versa - but all releases are pure quality. From the music’s production quality to the legendary KLH art work and right down to the packaging, Worship Recordings is never slacking. They continue to explore new methods of using reggae and house music side by side to reach lovers of both sounds and to unite them in the dance hall as ONE.
