Played around with the winner plugins - and ended up with this little entertaining song! After using 8 out of 10 from the effects list, and 4 from the instruments list (had used the other ones before - and wasn't sure how to get Cardinal to work). 

Also the standard EQ from my DAW and a whole bunch of other free plugins from BabyAudio, IgniteAmps, AudioDamage, Apogee, etc. And some REALLY cheap loops/samples from the recent holiday sales ("10-for-25", etc.). So production costs: a few cents! :)

Voice Control

The Robochoir from VOICE CONTROL is back!

Apart from that it's basically me playing around with the updated "Glitch Arcade Pack" by Soundtrack Loops, part of their new free "2022-23 Sampler" (soundtrackloops.com/shop/free-2022-2023-sampler). 

[There's also other stuff in there, but rather limited. The Arcade pack by far the most comprehensive thus useful. So went for this one.]

Added some peeps, cheeps, whimpers and granular textures from Glitchedtones, some fabulous upright bass and drum breaks by the "British Music Library" (which is NOT the music section of the British Library!) and some decent Oberheim bliss (with the free OB-Xd plugin).

This is a concept album about navigating a community as a neurodivergent person, explored from the perspective of a robot with emotions.

Specifically, "voice of reason" is about being given poor social advice that works for everyone else except you — being talked at by someone rather than them coming at it from your differing perspective and needs.

INFO: Middle aged music maker (and recreational drummer) from the middle of Franconian nowhere arranging music for open minded music lovers who (like me) don't want to listen to the same (kind of) music all/every day - way too boring (or even annoying).

So you'll find all kinds of stuff here, from Space Jazz to Hip Hop, from Synthpop to Triphop, from Folk to Doom, from here to there, from then to now, and many things in between - except for "pure" EDM / Techno / Trance, not my cup of tea. :P 

Many tracks tend towards "alternative pop". Well, if you don't like a song/genre - just skip it! I won't mind...  ;)

P.S.: Before you ask: I (almost) never start with the vocals, asking myself: what strange things could I make with those?

Instead I start making strange music THEN look for some vocal parts that might fit. You'd be surprised how often you get a "match" the moment you throw those in the mix. Well, sometimes it needs a little tweaking... ;)
