De vierde aflevering van het vierde seizoen van Cinepraatjes, de podcast van Cinemaatjes. We hebben weer eens Melo-Cakes. We beginnen met het slechte nieuws dat Roger Corman, The King of the B-Movies, is overleden. We hebben weer een nieuw L-Maatje, die meteen met z’n neus in de boter viel, want we hebben de film ‘Sleepaway Camp’ van audio-commentaar voorzien speciaal voor onze Patreon Maatjes. We bespreken even de poster van ‘Maxxxine’, die onlangs is vrijgegeven. JP keek de trailer van ‘Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F’. We hebben het even over het oeuvre van George Lucas, want hij heeft daarvoor een Palm-prijs gewonnen op het Cannes Film Festival. We krijgen weer een lastig sonnet van Marino voorgeschoteld. Naar aanleiding van het sonnet in de vorige aflevering keek William weer eens naar ‘The Omen’ en JP keek de recente film ‘Abigail’. We trokken weer een VHS-band uit de kast en wel eentje van de bovenste plank, waar eigenlijk een gordijntje voor hoort namelijk de film ‘Stray Cats’. In de Special bespreken we een genre wat we nauwelijks behandelen en hebben het uitvoerig over Romantische Komedies. Uiteraard beantwoorden we ook weer vragen van luisteraars over o.a. Chickflicks die we een Cinemaatjes sausje geven, films die we nog nooit hebben gezien en waarom niet, welke horrorfilms je laat zien aan iemand die er nog nooit één heeft gezien, wat we zouden kopen met 1000 euro in de jaren 80 en welke films ook hadden gewerkt in een ander genre.
