Update:
In the summer of 2022, my dear old friend Mick and longtime musical companion died of cancer.

I have agreed with him that I will continue to run our site in his spirit. Our amazing, unique music will live on forever.

Singer-songwriter, arranger and producer from Togo, Yao Olagbedji, musically affirms his filiation to the legends, Bob Marley, Fela Kuti and Miles Davis. They subtly inspire his music, but also his messages. Always with in the background, a desire for independence to promote an original sound and a message that resonates with an Africa in full boiling, as an echo of his first album "Alerte en Afrique" produced in the early 2000s. This production is powered by the African Syndicate Band.
ASB is also open to promote militant artists.

Over the years Pepperbox Studio has become a place beloved by musicians for its relaxed atmosphere, supportive creative spirit and high sonic standards.  Braving an often dusty, muddy or snow-covered backroad that rises for miles to a remote hilltop, those who finally come through the door gather here to create music guided by friendship, inclusivity & kindness. For music is nothing without the sharing of stories, time on and time off, walks under the stars, good food & good fellowship.
