JD Payne has the widest smile in hollywood and hes always smiling! helps that hes cowritten `Star Trek Beyond`, `Godzilla vs Kong`, `Jungle Cruise` and now is Showrunner & Executive Producer on The Lord of the Rings : The Rings of Power seasons one and two. Markella Kavenaghs `nori` is easily the most loved character over two seasons of the amazon prime video series and stunning as she is off screen she messes herself up for the young adventurous harfoot girl quite nicely! Megan Richards has the unique distinction of having acted as well as sung in both seasons. i loved this interview - discussing songs, background score and harfoots as a clan with these three. and im sure you will too. happy listening!

The Texas-born Amber Martin has no regrets. The singer/songwriter has lived quite a life and it's one that found her moving coast to coast in the name of art. But geography aside, Martin moves relentlessly forward and doesn't look back with revisionist repentance. She'll tell you all about that, so let me fill you in on the other stuff. A brilliant and powerful singer with precise phrasing and improvisational smarts, Martin is a force of nature, her live shows punctuated by comedic tales, observational stories and a classic cabaret sensibility. Her career has a lot of highlights, so let me give you a partial list: She opened for Joan Rivers, sang with Sandra Berhnard, recorded with the Scissor Sisters, performed on Broadway, had several solo art residencies and starred in the live variety show Cassette Roulette with the Tony Award winning John Cameron Mitchell of Hedwig and the Angry Inch.  The follow-up to her AM Gold album, Martin's Unbreakable Heart is a wicked blast of classic country played with reverence and playful fun. From Devil Came Down The Dancefloor to I Want You To Be A Real Man, Unbreakable heart is played with precision, heart and a lively wink. The album features Mitchell, Rufus Wainwright and Jake Shears of the Scissor Sisters. A writer, a singer, a choreographer, and a dancer, Amber Martin is also a fabulous conversationalist. I’m a Radio & Podcast Producer plus Host, Voice Over Artiste / Voice Actor & MC. These sessions are conversations with people whom I find very interesting. Either their personality or their work / cause shines through & in most cases both! Most whos celebrity value amongst Indians or internationally cannot be questioned, some who have risen to the occasion & despite personal & professional pressure have shown the light to us. Some speak on very relevant & topical themes, others speak about their lives in a manner that shall make sense even if we hear this decades from now. I try to listen more than I speak & ask relevant questions based on a combination of my laborious research & study on them or the theme they are covering plus elements of my own intuition about them that come to the fore as the conversation unfolds. I pray you enjoy these as much as I did creating them for you, my guests & for me!

For 8 years we were a weekly radio show based in Owen Sound, Ontario and presented by the Georgian Bay Folk Society. We shared music made in and played in Grey and Bruce counties with folk and roots music from across Canada and around the world thrown into the mix.
