Interestingly, I am getting exactly the same error message on Windows 10 today, and a Google search on runtime error "crt not initialized" "dropboxupdate.exe" brought me to this page. Never encountered this error before.


However, the error dialog suggests that you have a more serious problem. One that cannot be dealt with simply by catching an exception. You will need to work out why your program is terminating the runtime in this catastrophic way, and stop that happening. That error dialog suggests that your program is calling abort(), which is terminal.


I have a ImageFORMULA P-215 Scan-tini scanner which worked without any problems with my Lenovo X230 laptop running Windows 7 64-bit. However, I have been unable to get the CaptureOn Touch software to work on my Asus Transformer TA100T notebook running Windows 8.1 32-bit. The software and driver installation completed without any errors (without the scanner connected). But when I connect the scanner into the USB port and run the Capture On Touch software, it always comes up with a Microsoft Visual C++ runtime library error - Program C:\Program Files\Canon Electronics\P215\TouchDR.exe abnormal program termination.


I tried every possible troubleshooting approaches I could Google online including (1) doing running sfc /scannow (which found no integrity or corruption issues with my Win 8.1 system, (2) did a clean reboot disabling everything except the CaptureOn Touch software and it still comes up with the same error, (3) installing Visual C++ runtime library distributables for 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013 but still the error pops up. So basically, now I can't use this great little portable scanner with my great little transformer tablet/notebook.

I'm trying to install DirectX 9 on a Win7 x64 VM (due to a long story I won't get into) but the installer goes from the EULA directly to the Installation Complete portion, but does not say it found a newer version of DirectX or that the installation failed. I finally figured this one out! If you are getting this error then the support files needed for DAO360 are not on you computer. To correct then you can install MDAC 2.1 (SP2) or greater from Microsoft's web site. I have not used or tested MDAC 2.5 yet but will soon.

Are you using shuffle=True? If so, disable it and check if the index error is raised with the same value. Alternatively, iterate the Dataset instead of the DataLoader to narrow down which sample fails to load.

I have tried repairing and uninstalling/re-installing both visual studio 2015 and 2017. I have tried the same with the various windows SDK as well. At one point i had three different versions of the SDK installed and visual studio was still complaining even though i had the updated version installed. Currently, I have installed win sdk 10.0.15063.17.

Alex, known as A1XD0K, is a composer and producer originally from France and the UK, now based in Western Canada. Blending the grooves of French touch, hip hop, trip hop, dub, rock, house and funk, his music fuses nostalgic warmth with modern electronic pulse keeping sounds in motion, rising, falling, shifting and finding balance. Dub echoes, boom bap rhythms, evolving harmonics, shape contrasts between tension and release, embracing imperfections while guiding the flow with the aim of creating music that moves, adapts and endures.
