迫田先生の原曲は伝説的な名曲ですが、今回はそれに自分なりのスパイスを加えてみました。Thunder Force IVやバトルマニア大吟醸の音色パッチを使ってギターをより強烈にし、PCMドラムやノイズ系ハイハットでリズムにパンチを出しています。全体的に、よりアグレッシブで攻撃的な音色を選び、スクエア波を使ってエコー感も少し演出しました。

Musha Aleste - For The Love Of (YM2612 + SN76489)

これはちょっと面白いリミックスで、元々はOPLLチップ――特にマスターシステム用のもの――向けに作ったものなんです。メロディを打ち込んだ当初は、当然ながらデフォルトのパッチを使っていました。その後、OPNA用にリミックスし直して、プリセットの音色を似た雰囲気のパッチに置き換えました。
そして最終的には、「やっぱり自分の本命はメガドライブだよな」と思って、メガドライブ風のリミックスに仕上げました。面白いのは、いろいろな音色を試すことはあまりせず、わりと汎用的なオーケストラ風シンセの雰囲気になったという点です。まあ、それはそれで気に入っています。
ちなみに、このバージョンの「Bloody Tears」が自分の一番のお気に入りだったりします。

これもまた、昔作ったリミックスを少し手直ししたものです。PCMのティンパニはFM音源のものに差し替えました。音も良くなり、容量的にも軽くなったので一石二鳥ですね。FM音源でここまでの音が出せるとは、自分にとってはちょっとした発見でした。やっぱりSSG-EGの力はすごいです。
PSGストリングスには、今回ビブラート効果を加えました。そしてブラスセクションは、よりトランペット単体のような音になるように調整しました。これも改善できたポイントだと思っています。
曲自体についてですが、『黄金の太陽 ～失われし時代～』の中でも特にお気に入りの一曲です。桜庭統先生によるシリーズ2作分の音楽はどれも素晴らしいですが、個人的にはこの曲が一番のフィールドテーマだと思っています。

またしても昔のリミックスを改良したものです。今回は主に、曲の雰囲気により合ったドラムを使うことで全体的にグレードアップさせました。
このゲームは何十年も前にZSNESで遊んだ思い出があって、RPGとしては正直そこまで名作というわけでもないんですが、自分にとっては強いノスタルジーがあります。
中でもこの曲が一番好きで、SFC版の原曲よりもパートを増やしてアレンジしました。ハイハットやエコー効果も追加して、より広がりのあるサウンドにしています。

この曲は、ぜひイヤホンで聴くことをおすすめします。ステレオ感、エコー、リバーブ風の効果をふんだんに盛り込んでいるからです。それと正直に言うと、Savaged Regimeさんのパッチも使わせてもらいました。
原曲（SFC版）は、リバーブやサラウンド効果を最大限に活用していて、スーパーファミコンの性能をフルに引き出したサウンドになっていました。それをFM音源でどう再現するか――持っている手札でなんとか形にするしかないわけで、それが今回の試みです。
スクエア波の音色には軽くビブラートと音量変化を加え、できるだけストリングスっぽく仕上げています。スネアドラムの音は、懐かしさもあって『シャイニング・フォースII』のものを使用。ハープも同作の音をベースに、ちょっとしたSSG-EGの細工でエコー感を加えています。そして今回もFMティンパニが大活躍です。
原曲に負けない出来になったと思っていますが、最終的な判断はあなたにお任せします。
