The Forest

Here is an extract from my live set's introduction at Naturaiz Festival (Memento Mori edition).
This song is from my solo side project called "Zatira", track name "Skuggadans" 110 BPM.
I recorded and processed the speaking the night before taking off to Sao Paulo. 
The goal?
Including this song with meaningful speech to introduce the set in a protective and ritualistic way.

This track is such a vibe. It’s hella calm, and honestly I could not picture a better way of defining my trip to the Netherlands. Always a blessing to go catch my friend there. much love. 

I recorded the keys, or the lead melody on a 16 step sequencer back at 2020. It was this calm little loop that i’d noodle solo. However, just a month ago I found it when scrollin through some of my presets i’ve done on my minilogue so i decided to take a livetake that lasted for near 3 minutes. That being done, I placed a kick drum to get the rhythm settled. Started to experiment with different sounds and layered them on top of the keys. Basically that’s the way I usually end up making these tracks: I’ve a main element and layer stuff on top of that. At times it just happens, that i’ll ditch the main element after new ideas, but not this time. The Vox were just random takes, placed a mic on the room and started chopping and sampling them, mixed the vox heavily :D

I am doing music since kid, production and beatmaking since few years. I had this crazy idea to work with the bests and I still have it. I took a lot of time to create, make music, stack audio tracks (got hundred of beats) and my progression is still continuing. Now going to the business !

I also made a kind of side project with me as a singer under the name "Ze Plaster" wich allowed me to have a good view on all the process from composition to voice, mix and master. But in fact I can produce other artists and I did, with the song No Mess (Watch your moves) from Joseph Cotton. Some of my songs are available on YouTube also, like my 2 videos : Ça Flingue and Je crois… One is about the killings related to drug activities and the other shows a special feeling when you are thanksfull for knowing some people even if you don’t see them again with time. 

So you can find my entire first project : Contrecoups (Ze Mixtape) here on Soundcloud but I decided to quit Spotify and other plateforms due to their lack of respect concerning emergent artists. I only share my songs on YouTube and Soundcloud for now and my last project was « un Son par semaine 2024 » where I dropped one song each week.
