Hey guys!

Woah what a genuine journey this has been. Not gonna lie, I’m actually pretty proud of myself regardless of how bad this song might be lolol. With absolutely no experience in FL Studio, Vocaloid V4, or even Japanese syllables, I think I’ve done pretty well and learned a lot throughout this whole project.

This song was originally a piano improv I created during my time in Year 11 (you can find videos of it on my TikTok!!). I eventually turned it into a full track, since the original was never really finished mostly because I only had access to a school piano to make songs with, haha.

More about the song:
My main inspirations were BoA, inabakumori, and Toby Fox.
If it weren’t for BoA holy crap the drums would’ve been horrible. I listened to BoA’s “Frozen” over and over and used that as a reference to play the drums in the piano roll. Honestly, I’m really proud of how it turned out.
My earlier songs all had automated drums because I wasn’t confident making them myself, but this time I had tons of fun and you can tell hehe. It was pretty cool!

I also used “Rainy Somewhere Else” by Toby Fox as inspiration it really helped me explore the song further.
The instrumental was a flipping pain, though mainly because I was being kinda dumb with FL Studio lol. But thankfully, it came together nicely with the piano, choir, and bass!

And of course, inabakumori!
We all know I didn’t use Kaai Yuki for no reason she’s iconic thanks to inabakumori’s music. So when I got the lyrics, I just had to do it. Vocaloid was truly fun, but hard!!

Also... I’m thinking of making an album based on this!! Might be insane, but I’m feeling ambitious and with the time I’ve got on my hands, hopefully I stay true to my words :D
