"Celebrating Abundance" is ecstatic psydub journey that was performed Abundance Community Farm on August 2. This performance was part of a celebration of a donation of 100K in cryptocurrency to the farm that I facilitated.

This somatic journey starts out slow in the root chakra and progress upwards, like ocean waves cresting to crescendos and then ebbing. This progressive set is psydub mixed with global fusion, a style I've learned for the benefit of my diverse community at Just Dance in Vancouver. I included some tracks by Persian DJs as a special treat for my friend Amir, the founder of Abundance Community Farm. 

The set features samples of chants for each chakra, moving up to the sacral and solar plexus chakras, next to the heart chakra, followed by the throat chakra, then activating the third eye chakra, and concluding with the crown chakra. My creative praxis involves layering and adding depth to tracks, such as my poetry and nature sounds.  Enjoy!

In Dr. John J. Prendergast’s decades of experience as a psychotherapist and spiritual teacher, the area of the body that’s most difficult for people to connect with—given our survival fear and trauma—is our physical and energetic ground. In his work, he finds this area in the lower belly and at the base of the spine remains largely unconscious and deeply defended by most individuals, while most spiritual traditions tend to avoid or undervalue the opening of the ground.
