“An Eternity Still” delves into the theme of closure, capturing the emotional journey of closing one chapter and beginning another. It evokes a stirring blend of nostalgia and the need to move forward, balancing bright memories with the desire for growth and new challenges. Of leaving baggage behind to fill the suitcase anew, killing the darlings to find new loved ones, burn down the house and never look back. Because as everybody knows; warm memories linger—for an eternity still.

For this project, Vanity Productions' Christian Stadsgaard teamed up with close collaborators Emma Acs and Malthe Fischer, who joined in the compositional process. While the album maintains Stadsgaard’s signature melancholia, it also introduces a fresh sonic palette, incorporating vocals and guitar alongside the project’s hallmark broken electronics and dark, evocative melodies.

“An Eternity Still” also features remixes by acclaimed artists Farzané and Ireen Amnes, further enriching the album’s collaborative spirit and adding new dimensions to its haunting soundscapes.

The Austrian collective of Luca Tresque, Joe Haensn, and Rotary Motion have launched a new underground techno label called Splatter that has released music on vinyl and digital.

Their quality EPs and VAs have included artists like Florian Meindl, JANEIN, Linear System, and Fhase 87, the label has had a great start.

Italian musician Solitario makes his Splatter debut after a number of recordings for labels such as B. Riley's CMND CTRL, M.R.E.U.X's Blumoog Codec, and Ket Robinson's KR Records.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "La Ballata Del Serpente" with a ferocious sound. The pummelling, groove-fuelled bassline is the guiding force underneath skipping percussion. Later leading into moments of total intensity and hints of tribal inspiration and the flanged lead sound of rising and falling waves.

Instead, she discovers a fractured community that has fallen on hard times, and amidst boiling tensions, a sinister, grinning figure emerges from the cornfields to cleanse the town of its burdens, one bloody victim at a time. Teen rebellion meets killer clown vengeance in CLOWN IN A CORNFIELD is an adaptation of the YA novel by Adam Cesare, who joins us along with director/co-screenwriter Eli Craig (TUCKER & DALE VS. EVIL).

In JANE AUSTEN WRECKED MY LIFE, a hopelessly clumsy yet charming young woman who works in the legendary Shakespeare & Co. bookshop in Paris and desperately single, dreams of being a successful writer, and of experiencing love akin to a Jane Austen novel. We chat with writer/ director Laura Piani about her creative process, the feminist questions at the heart of the story, and why sometimes the best way to honor a literary icon is to challenge her. 

From 2018:  Inspired by movies, four young men attempted a heist that was at once audacious and unusual. AMERICAN ANIMALS is the equally-original cinematic hybrid of narrative and documentary that tells this wildly-true story. We pop back into the archive for our chat with writer/director Bart Layton (THE IMPOSTER), which has never been rebroadcast!
