Bud Harrelson, the scrappy, glove-first shortstop on the 1969 Miracle Mets, third-base coach for the 1986 World Series-winning team and later the club’s manager, and who tangled with Pete Rose in one of the wildest brawls in baseball history, died Wednesday in East Northport, New York.
