Being that April is “STI Awareness Month”, I am taking this opportunity to share my personal story with Herpes and shed light on the TRUTH about HSV in an effort to support others with their own journey, spread awareness and stop the spread of misinformation.

I never imagined I’d be recording this, but here I am, not just ready but excited to share my story with you. We’re going to unpack all the myths, share facts, and the profound lesson in resilience and self-worth that I learned through one of the darkest moments of my life. 

This episode isn't just about my journey. It's about breaking the silence and the spread of misinformation that perpetuates this stigma. We MUST be willing to have healthy dialogue and conversation around this.

Slaying Shame and Stigma: My Herpes Journey

"Klamydia" är en 80-tals-inspirerad syntpoplåt som med humor och ärlighet behandlar ämnet sexuellt överförbara infektioner (STD). Låten följer berättarens erfarenhet efter att ha fått diagnosen klamydia och de känslor av ånger, frustration och lärdom som följer.
Genom sin direkta och ofiltrerade text tar låten upp viktiga aspekter av sexuell hälsa: vikten av skydd vid sexuella kontakter, nödvändigheten att informera tidigare partners, det stigma som fortfarande omger STD-diagnoser, och de medicinska procedurer som krävs för behandling.
Låten har en tydlig preventiv agenda där berättaren reflekterar över sina val och överväger livsstilsförändringar - från att vara mer försiktig med skydd till att eventuellt minska sitt användande av dejtingappar. Samtidigt påpekas det hyckleri som finns i samhället där människor dömer andra medan "alla får ju ge sig fan på att vara så dömande."
