When the cloud came down
just a few miles from town
It seemed to hang there,
hold there,
like a huge black bull,
Then it twisted ahead
Left twenty-seven dead
Awash in the shock and the pull.

Sirens wailing across central Texas
Children come inside.
We’re gonna be safe,
But it’s gotta come down somewhere.
God help those unfortunate people to hide.

It’s usually best not to run,
best to hold your ground
But this time it was so strong
it tore everything down.
Cowhide stripped from the flesh
like bark from the trees
Houses torn from concrete slabs
People waiting on bended knees.

People asking why
any god in the sky
Would cut down the helpless,
let so many die?
Two boys riding on bikes
trying to outrun the wind
They’ll be riding through my mind
Whether we leave this place behind
or build it back again.

Out in Jarrell gathered at the churchyard
People singing hymns, saying goodbye
As the storm tears invisibly
through the hearts of central Texas
And the wind blows soft again
under a calm and distant sky.

Plaisirs Sonores Records is proud to present Storm EP, the stunning new release from Argentine producer Alan Cerra, featuring two compelling originals—Storm and Shadowed Echoes, alongside a dynamic remix from New-York based artist Nadav Vee.

The release lands on August 8th, bringing together progressive grooves, melodic emotion, and peak-time energy in equal measure. Alan Cerra has quietly become one of the most respected rising names in the melodic and progressive scene. Known for his sleek, groove-heavy productions and emotive atmospheres, Alan has released on acclaimed labels such as Siona Records, The Soundgarden, and Mango Alley, with support from global icons like Miss Monique, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, and Guy J. His ability to blend musical sophistication with dancefloor function is fully on display across both original cuts on this EP.

The title track, Storm, is a hypnotic roller built around rising tension and expansive melodic layers, while Shadowed Echoes dives deeper, exploring more introspective textures and intricate rhythms.

On remix duties, Nadav Vee—an artist known for releases on labels such as Plattenbank and Silver Joe—injects Storm with a lighter, bouncy edge, pushing the track into day-time territory while preserving its emotional core. Weve been following Alans music for years and are thrilled to finally welcome him to the label.

Eric Dahl is a songwriter with ties to the state of Washington on both sides of the Cascade mountains. He was born in Colville in the northeastern corner of the state. His father was a teacher from Spokane who soon moved with his family to western Washington. Dahl’s mother is a native of Leavenworth with relatives in the Wenatchee Valley. Eric grew up in Kent and south Seattle, but thanks to his maternal grandfather and uncles, he worked in the Leavenworth fruit orchards and hiked from an early age in the Cascade Mountains to the high lakes. Later he studied and published poetry at Whitman College in Walla Walla, the University of Washington in Seattle, and at Oxford University where he was awarded the Isis Poetry Prize.
