Hello and welcome episode 47 of The DJ B-12 Deep Acid House Experience. I hope you are all doing well out there and I appreciate your support and listenership. This show is for the month of September 2023, and it is dedicated in memory of Ainsley Talbot, my 10-month 3-week-old kitten who passed on August 29, 2023. She had a terrible condition that left her disabled after she was about 2-3 months old. Although she was born normal with her surviving sister, Arianna and her brother, Jackson, it seems, her mother, Gracie (who was a stray cat I took in 3 weeks before they were born), contracted a virus while she was pregnant, which resulted in only Ainsley developing a condition that caused her cerebral cortex to not form properly. It started out with her motor skills diminishing and eventually led to her being only able to lay on her side and needing help doing everything. She was a true fighter, and she will always be my little hero and my best friend, but her broken little body just had enough. She was the most beautiful, precious, and loving soul I've ever known. As you can imagine, this was a bittersweet episode for me to do with losing her so young, which is one of the reasons it took me so long to get out, but I wanted to get a fresh mix out with new tunes that I could also dedicate to her. Although this set was worked out ahead of her passing, some of the tracks took on a special meaning because of lyrics and titles. RIP Ainsley girl. I will love you forever and always, until we meet again, my angel. Ainsley Talbot October 3, 2022 - August 29, 2023.

Still love to visit record stores & dig through bins of used records when i go on business trips. Recorded 100's of mixed tapes for classmates/friends and hours & hours in front of the turntables. Sheffield based trance night that has caused a stir through club land ever since its inception in February 2007.

After quickly becoming known for a truly world class DJ bill, first rate productions and a unique atmosphere, OTR has given the local club scene a much needed beat injection.

OTR’s new home is FEZ Club in Sheffield. Here you can expect to be kept dancing until the early hours with a signature laser cut dancefloor bathed in FEZ's ultra-crisp Martin Audio sound system and a raised intimate DJ booth that keeps you truly involved in the action, not to mention state of the art visuals, lighting and productions; OTR has well and truly become a staple to any clubbing schedule.

OTR has always prided itself on providing you with one of the most upfront music policies and DJ line-ups you could expect to hear. Having taken a short break in 2009, OTR returned in an emphatic fashion and have continued to welcome a host of the world’s most prolific artists to its decks including Aly & Fila, Menno De Jong, John O’Callaghan, Matt Hardwick, Orjan Nilsen, Rank1, Simon Patterson and Sean Tyas to name but a few.

Always thinking outside the box, OTR have brought some of the most unique trance and progressive events to have braced the country to Sheffield over the years. With exclusive live performances coming from Solarstone, Roger Shah via a 3 hour extended set and The Thrillseekers showcasing his musical genius through his Live XTreme production, OTR pride themselves on bringing the freshest nights to the scene. Off the Rails were also the brand which proudly brought you local trance legend, Matt Hardwick’s final farewell event upon him announcing his retirement from DJing in 2011. For all those who attended the event, it’s safe to say it was a night to remember and certainly a fitting end for the man who has done so much for trance in the steel city.

The annual Journey Through Trance event is yet another shining example of OTR reaching out to its wanting ravers, providing a classics event with a twist through the talents of the country’s finest up and coming DJs. This sell-out crowd year upon year provide the perfect atmosphere to the soundtrack that has shaped so many people’s lives, making it a definite date in any clubbers diary.

Such is the reputation that OTR has now enveloped throughout club land over the last few years, the Sheffield based brand have been invited to collaborate with a host of the most renowned names around. From Insomniacz at the mighty Magna to Digital Society at the O2 in Leeds, as well as hosting the main room at what is one of the country’s premier venues, Air in Birmingham, for the sell-out Godskitchen event, SixFiveTwelve which saw trance megastars Armin van Buuren and Paul van Dyk take to the main stage.

OTR’s vision has always been clear; to be at the forefront of any clubbing experience. Rest assured, this is something we aim to continue and with a wealth of projects on the horizon, be sure to embrace that signature OTR experience.

Hartmut Kiss has been working as a DJ for over 30 years, having been a resident at Tiffany (1993-2000), then at Cult-Neukirchen (from 2000), Nachtcafe-Leipzig (15 years), Staupitzbad-Döbeln, and many others.
Through the artist agency "Dusted Decks," he expanded his sphere of influence to include virtually all of the region's renowned clubs.
Guest appearances at Boom Rave, Sputnik Springbreak, SMS, and numerous other festivals followed, confirming his almost magical connection with his audience.
His first releases under his own label (Homework Records) were followed by several EPs, remixes, and, to date, one album under Christian Fischer's music label "BRYZANT."
