Passionate about astronomy, I have always been drawn to the sense of vertigo that this activity evokes. Of course, the scientific aspect interests me, but above all, it is the observation, the admiration it entails, the deep reflection on oneself and one's place in this vastness, and ultimately, the sense of existential perspective. This does not take away from the pleasure of capturing images with a telescope and processing them myself. My maternal grandfather gave me my first telescope when I was under ten years old, and I hope to keep this passion for the rest of my life and pass it on to my daughter.

After one year i made another axperiment with AI videos (Minimax) and grooveboxes, again this time with one of my favourite hacked instrument: the Korg Electribe 2s Hacktribe. I programmed 5 different 140 / UKG / 2Step / Future Garage beats using internal synth and the onboard sampler. For the basslines i create some 3 layers bass sound design reminescent of 2000s reece bass tecnique (splitting a saw in sub, mid and hi and using internal filters, flanger/phaser and LFO to add movement to every layers). All the synth sound are processed with insert FX and Master FX, the Hacktribe version provide a bounch of extra Ins. As usual i used the Korg Kaossilator for extra moving Fx. 
About the visual: i create a sequence of clips with Minimax in order to create a complete immersion to the music across an imaginary world. Enjoy!

With the exception of the gongs, a combination of a modified Dreamsynth bell preset and Gong Amp, everything was made with one monster virtual modular patch using VCV Rack (Mostly Surge XT modules). 

Probably not the best way to do it, I should have learned from how easy it was splitting things last week, but everything including the gongs was multi-track recorded as a single live performance. Apart from pushing my far from shabby CPU to it's limit I wasn't able to modulate as many things as I'd have liked, ran into the not enough physical knobs/sliders limit.  ,

Auldwav (“old wave”) is Seth D. Dobson, an electronic music producer from Phoenix, AZ. Inspired by fellow Arizonan Steve Roach, Auldwav's minimalist compositions combine elements of ambient, drone, and noise to create engaging synthesizer soundscapes.

I'm primarily a visual artist both 2D and 3D, for the last decade I've operated almost exclusively in the digital 3D realm.   since the late 80s I've made periodic forays into the sonic world, MIDI sequencing, minimalism, musique concrète, found sounds  and improvisation. I am seldom happy with anything and seldom consider a piece finished.

I just enjoy making music and am terrible compared to the rest of you. But I'm happy to take the few and valuable comments to heart and look forward to continuing to experiment with my instruments and the DAW.
This hobby gives me life, courage and solitude in this increasingly hostile world.

i’m zzzebra and here’s a bit of my story. 

I started creating music on my computer just prior to being diagnosed with a rare neuromuscular disease called Myasthenia Gravis (MG), which causes muscle weakness in all voluntary muscles (the ones used to talk, smile, blink, lift your arms/ legs, swallow, chew, see, and even breathe). I had became unable to play or even hold up my primary instrument, trumpet. One day at the library I checked out midi keyboard and that was when I first began experimenting with creating electronic music. 

It was at the start of the pandemic in March 2020 that I was diagnosed with the rare neuromuscular disease, Myasthenia Gravis (MG). It had became increasingly difficult to use my muscles for anything, including lifting my arms to brush my teeth, standing up unassisted, or swallowing food. I was choking on my food regularly, even had a few major falls, and was having breathing difficulties. Once I began treatment, I was then able to regain a bit of muscle function. Quite literally I found my voice again, both literally and musically.

From this diagnosis and access to treatment, I first had found immense gratitude. Gratitude for being able to speak, whistle, breathe, that this journey of creating music electronically began. The realization hit me that while I no longer was able to play trumpet, I was still a musician. At this point, I became determined to find my musical voice that had felt so burried, so lost. 

Due to being immunosuppressed, my music is created alone. While I dearly miss making music with others, I decided to confront my fear of not only my own musical ideas, but the fear of using my own voice in music. So I started digging up old poetry to use. I pulled up audio recordings and captured new ones; clips from the news, nature, random rants, goofy singing, medical devices beeping..

It has not been until late summer 2024 that I have began to be able to make music again. The rest of the year I had spent much time in the hospital. I decided to also start something new: learning scales on a small 3lbs practice guitar. 

I have also been able to play trumpet for the first time since 2019 by using adaptions to help with muscle support.
