trying to unite the masses, without being so damn classless
the window it is draft-less, theres still frost on my glasses
green eggs fill my room, sulfur based perfume
Inhaling all the fumes, of detrimental doom

I question life as is, from elderly to bibs
lilacs to the bricks, star light to the sticks
From what we take do we give
from whom we follow can we live

For the last several decades Azam has been recognized as a major talent whose music has been used in dozens of major films and several collaborations (including with Serj Tankian from System of a Down, Micky Hart from the Grateful Dead, and Peter Murphy of Bauhaus). Her latest album, “Synesthesia” is set to be released on November 14th.  And it’s amazing!  However, the courageous story of how she got to this place in her life is unbelievable. From fleeing her native Iran as a refugee at the age of four (just before the Iranian Revolution), to growing up in India, until finally relocating to US as a teenager---Azam Ali has endured incredible hardship, isolation, and prejudice during her lifetime. GN-Δlon (2025) for contrabass clarinet and electronics, premiered by Ignat Krasikov, is a work in which pulsating energy, meditative elements, and a hypnotic atmosphere converge.
In an extract from Ignat Krasikov’s interview for the magazine Musical Life, he explains: “I thought of the contrabass clarinet — a rare, powerful instrument with a low, almost shamanic timbre. I wanted to make it part of a club context. That’s how the idea was born, together with Roman Parkhomenko, to invite several composers and ask them to write music that combines club energy with compositional freedom. For me, it was a kind of laboratory experiment: giving colleagues the possibility to express themselves, while still finding a unified form.”
The work was premiered in Kazan during the Synesthesia Lab 2025.

Phil has been a musician for most of his life. His main interest’s are playing & performing bass guitar and classical guitar, he has a passion to share his knowledge with others through tutoring. He is an accomplished music composer, arranger, producer, and sound designer. He has worked with many different bands and ensemble’s covering many music genres, as a session musician & for a service within the community. Phil enjoys all music, but his favourites are jazz, funk, classical, and metal. His great passion was his time with heavy metal band Fearscape, where he toured, composed songs & recorded two studio albums. 

He completed a Bachelor of music at Western Sydney university, as well as music performance at Ultimo College of TAFE. While studying, Phil expanded upon his interest’s into music and the mind & investigated the microscopic world of sound hidden within other sounds. He now studies and researchers within the field of Acoustic Ecology, investigating the effects of music & sound on mental & physical health, & the influence of the environment. By observing this micro world through a musical lens, Phil hopes to uncover ways to help other autistic people and those struggling with disabilities to create a much more compatible environment. This passion stems from Phil's own unique way of perceiving music through Synesthesia. A world of sound seen as colours, Creating music is like painting the music of the heart on a transparent canvas.
