Renowned for bouncy selections, basslines and blends, Fiyahdred is a fast-rising favourite in UK bass. Inspired by the '08/'09 House & UK Funky scene ,“Bad Trip” was produced in Logic Pro using plugins like Sylenth. 

Fiyahdred’s unique sound entwines the flamboyance of Black, Queer culture with inspiration from a spectrum of genres including Garage, Jungle, Soca, Dancehall and House. Their reputation as an exceptional and unique producer is recognised with releases on Hyperdub, Rhythm Section and Club Djembe.

Fiyahdred - Bad Trip

Born and raised in South London, Kadence aka Fiyahdred—formerly known as Bamz—has been a dynamic force in the UK’s electronic music scene. Their musical journey began at the tender age of six with beatboxing, transitioning to music production by ten, influenced by a household resonating with Hip-Hop, R&B, Rare Grooves, Grime, House, and Reggae. 

This deep-rooted connection to rhythm and melody laid the foundation for their signature sound—one that fuses vibrant percussive energy with soulful electronic textures.

In 2011, Fiyahdred left school to fully immerse themselves in music, rapidly gaining a following within the UK funky community through self-released tracks and electrifying Boiler Room sets. After years of non-stop momentum, they took a step back to recharge, explore new sonic ideas, and reconnect with their artistic vision. 

Emerging with renewed purpose and a fresh perspective, they reintroduced themselves as Fiyahdred—a name reflecting both personal and creative evolution.

In 2021, Fiyahdred made their debut on Hyperdub with the release of Anyway, an EP that showcased their ability to blend deep bass, syncopated grooves, and hypnotic melodies into a sound that feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking. This release marked a significant milestone, positioning them as a key figure in the next wave of UK club music innovators.

Fiyahdred’s music seamlessly bridges the gap between UK funky, house, Afro-electronic sounds, and the rich musical landscapes of the Caribbean. Their productions and high-energy sets carry echoes of the queer house pioneers who laid the foundation for modern dance music, while carving out new sonic territory that honors and evolves the legacy of Black electronic music.

Most recently, Fiyahdred launched Wildfiyah, their own music label, as a platform to support their evolving sound and amplify artists with a shared vision. One of the first projects under this banner is Wildfiyah Presents: Ember - The Extended Mix Series, a deep dive into their influences and creative inspirations. 

With this new venture, Fiyahdred continues to carve out space for innovative and boundary-pushing music, cementing their place as a trailblazer in the electronic music landscape.
