Slovenská kapela Chill On The Sun vydávanie svojich albumov zjavne plánuje podľa slnečnej aktivity. Ich nový album Breviár magických rastlín a húb je v poradí 4. štúdiovým albumom a vychádza po dlhých 11 rokoch od svojho predchodcu Polo My, ktorý vyšiel v deň letného slnovratu roku 2012. Nový album vychádza v deň jesennej rovnodennosti 23.9.2023. Tento dátum je astronomickým koncom leta a korešponduje aj so záverečnou, 9 minútovou epickou skladbou Koniec leta..  

Počiatky kapely siahajú do roku 2002 kedy vydali debutový album U babky, z ktorého pochádzajú rádiové hity Včelár a Vzducholoď. Ich hudba rokmi dozrela a z alternatívneho popu prešla vývinom cez rock a world-music až do súčasnej artovej podoby.

Nový album Breviár magických rastlín a húb na ktorom kapela pracovala viac ako tri roky,
je magickou prehliadkou rôznych štýlov, od ambientných plôch cez folk rockové piesne s nádychom retro hippie atmosféry až po futuristické, takmer prog-rockové kompozície s psychedelickým nádychom world-music. Koncept albumu je ako okúzlujúca zvuková kniha pre dospelých, ktorí hľadajú v sebe zabudnuté čaro detstva sprostredkované mágiou leta a prázdnin, či fantaskných výletov do prírody alebo do vzdialeného vesmíru. Čaro albumu podtrhuje nádherne spracovaný CD obal, ktorý svojim spracovaním okrášli zbierku každého CD zberateľa.

Na albume kapela spolupracovala s viacerými vyhľadávanými hudobníkmi, napr.: bluesoví gitaristi René Lacko a Roman Mečiar, folkový pesničkár „Nany“ Hudák, violončelista Matej Tkáč, hudobník na etno nástroje Rami Shaafi a ďalší. O spektakulárny zvukový mastering sa postaral pražský Gargle & Expel.`
Nahrávanie a výrobu albumu podporili FOND NA PODPORU UMENIA a Sociálny a kultúrny fond SOZA.

The Slovak band Chill On The Sun apparently plans their album releases according to the sun's activity. Their new album Breviary of Magical Plants and Mushrooms is their 4th studio album and comes 11 long years after its predecessor POLO MY, which was released on the summer solstice in 2012. The new album will be released on the day of the autumnal equinox, 23rd of September 2023. This date marks the astronomical end of summer and also corresponds with the final track End of Summer, a 9 minute epic in the best tradition of post-rock music  

The band's origins date back to 2002 when they released their debut album U babky (At the Grandma), which spawned the radio hits Včelár (The Beekeeper) and Vzducholoď (Air Ship). Their music has matured over the years and has evolved from alternative pop through rock and world-music to its current art form.

It took more than 3 years to record album Breviary of Magical Plants and Mushrooms.
It is a stunning showcase of different styles, from ambient, almost Floyd-esque soundscapes to folk rock songs with a touch of retro hippie vibe and futuristic prog-rock compositions with a psychedelic world-music vibe. The concept of the album is like an enchanting audio book for adults who are looking for the forgotten magic of childhood conveyed by the magic of summer and holidays, or fanciful trips to nature and to the distant universe. The charm of the album is underlined by the beautifully crafted CD sleeve & cover, which will delight any CD collector.

On the album, the band collaborated with several sought-after musicians, such as: blues guitarists René Lacko and Roman Mečiar, folk songwriter "Nany" Hudák, cellist Matej Tkáč, ethno-instrumentalist Rami Shaafi and others. The spectacular sound mastering was done by Gargle & Expel from Prague (Czech republic).
