Protest anthems played in the background as people danced with willow branches while others stood quickly holding signs calling on the city to halt its plans to cut down trees at Travers Park.

Councilor Andy Groat, described as a “dedicated public servant” by his fellow council members, resigned unexpectedly at Wednesday’s council meeting after expressing regret over his past decisions regarding Travers Park renovations.

Brandon and Terry were in different bands at the same rehearsal space.  They took up playing Metallica and Judas Priest jams for fun.  Then they got asked to play at a show so they made a couple songs.  They figured CobraJet was a good name for a band and a song.  They'll probably name their album that, too.  Reese wanted to play bass with the band, and now he does.
