My Save the rave mixes are often themed around different genres and subgenres of 90s dance and electronic music. This time I took aim at summer hits and I admit, it was quite a challenge to put something meaningful together in these waters. Whether you loved them or hated them and switched them while listening to different compilations, they were a significant part of 90s music. What kind of band would it be if they didn't have some summer hit in their repertoire, even though their primary sound was about a different branch of dance music. But it also worked the other way around, bands focusing on such summer, beach hits sometimes deviated from their usual sound and released a song with a different sound, whether the audience, the label or the band itself demanded it. This mix also includes the Slovak representation of the Eurodance scene (as i am Slovak), and in quite large numbers - groups like D-Night, Exil, Bee M, Extasy did not lag behind the world performers in terms of the quality of their songs. So, pull out your swimsuit, umbrella, deck chair, mix up some drinks and enjoy the summer and this mix ;)

Moje mixy série Save the rave sú často tématicky zamerané na rôzné žánre a subžánre tanečnej a elektronickej hudby 90tých rokov. Tento krát som si na mušku vzal letné hity a priznám sa, toto bola celkom výzva, dať niečo zmysluplné dokopy v týchto vodách.. Či už ste ich milovali alebo nenávideli a pri počúvaní rôznych výberoviek ich rovno prepínali, boli významnou súčasťou muziky 90tých rokov. Čo by to bola za kapela, keby vo svojom repertoári nemala nejaký ten letný kaleráb, aj napriek tomu, že jej primárny zvuk bol o inej odnoži tanečnej hudby. Ale fungovalo to aj naopak, kapely so zameraním sa na takéto letné, plážové hity občas vybočili od svojho zaužívaného zvuku a vydali skladbu s iným zvukom, či už si to žiadalo publikum, vydavateľstvo alebo to bol krok samotnej kapely. V tomto mixe je aj slovenské zastúpenie eurodance scény, a to v celkom hojnom počte - skupiny ako D-Night, Exil, Bee M, Extasy kvalitou skladieb za svetovými interpretmi vôbec nezaostávali. Takže vytiahnite plavky, slnečník, lehátko, namiešajte drinky a užite si leto a tento mix ;)

Ak by niekedy niekto zostrojil stroj času, sú dve miesta v histórii ľudstva, ktoré ma napadnú ako prvé, kam by som sa chcel pozrieť. After a 3-year break from the music industry, Pinkque makes a triumphant return with her much-anticipated debut album set for release in 2024. Having burst onto the scene in 2014 with a remix of ‘One’ by Manuel Le Suax, Pinkque quickly established herself as a force in the trance world. Her original track 'Reborn' soared to the Top 100 Trance Charts on Beatport for four consecutive weeks in December 2014. Notable releases like 'Hereafter' (2015) hitting #27 on Beatport's trance charts and being voted #1 on Ferry Corsten's Corstens Countdown showcased Pinkque's rising prominence. Her 2016 original 'The Aggressor' earned the coveted title of 'The Future Sound' on Aly & Fila's Future Sound Of Egypt radio show. Stepping into 2018, Pinkque collaborated with Melbourne producer Jinus on 'Mission Control,' signed on MaRLo's label Reaching Altitude and supported by Armin Van Buuren on A State Of Trance Radio Show (#835). Her remix for maRLo's 'Always Be Around' garnered widespread acclaim, featured on ASOT and played by Armin Van Buuren and MaRLo at some of the most iconic festivals in the world such as Tomorrowland and Untold Festivals. Pinkque's musical journey continues to captivate audiences, and her return promises a new chapter of musical exploration.
