My poetry and music evolved as a personal response to the events of Sept 11th 2001, and the resulting conflicts. I began to meditate during this period, and the poetry, lyrics and melodies grew from there.

The songs wouldn't exist as finished 'entities' without Claudette Evans and Josh Elliott - two multi-talented people.

Martin Lau is a poet, musician and vocalperformer who works in the intermediate field of language and music. His texts are musically composed multi-lingual cascades between spoken word, rap and soundpoetry. He performs them as songs as well as in the context of contemporary classical and experimental and improvised music.
As a vocalist he digs deep in the acoustics of the mouth. In his energetic and uncompromising live-performances he explores the variety and boundaries of human articulation and its conditions.
