Aujourd’hui, je vous embarque dans une ancienne cité d’artistes nichée en plein cœur du quartier de Montparnasse de la belle époque.
 
Nous avons rendez-vous dans le musée-atelier de l’illustre sculpteur Antoine Bourdelle. On connaît bien sûr de lui des œuvres emblématiques monumentales que l’on retrouve tant sur le continent européen qu’Américain comme l’Héraclès archer, le Centaure mourant ou les fresques du théâtre des Champs Élysées… Mais connaissez-vous son œuvre dessinée ? Son intérêt pour l’illustration ? ou encore sa pratique de l’enseignement de la sculpture et du dessin à plus de 500 élèves …?
 
En déambulant dans les réserves du musée, ce sont ces facettes plus méconnues de l’homme et du créateur que Valérie Montalbetti, responsable des sculptures et des collections Bourdelle, Lili Davenas, conservatrice en charge des arts graphiques et Claire Boisserolles, responsable du centre de recherche Antoine Bourdelle vont nous dévoiler.

Un âge d'or du marbre. La sculpture en pierre à Delphes dans l'Antiquité, (https://editions.efa.gr/?kroute=publication&amp;id=988) par Jean-Luc Martinez (Éditions EFA (https://editions.efa.gr/?kroute=accueil))


Points de repère de l'histoire et de l'histoire de l'art du monde grec antique, les sculptures en pierre de Delphes restent paradoxalement méconnues. Découvertes pour l'essentiel lors de la Grande Fouille menée de 1892 à 1903, ces oeuvres – plus de 2 000 fragments – ne sont en effet que partiellement publiées dans les sept volumes de la série des Fouilles de Delphes IV parus entre 1909 et 2003. Ce recueil rassemble ainsi pour la première fois toutes les sculptures en pierre connues à Delphes. Pour certains ensembles, largement inédits, il offre une première publication détaillée : le décor de la Tholos, la « Colonne des Danseuses », les groupes statuaires de Daochos et « du Philosophe », les portraits ou la plastique idéale d'époque impériale. D'autres dossiers ont fait l'objet d'une mise à jour approfondie, en particulier les couros et corès, les caryatides et le décor sculpté des trésors ioniques, le décor des temples doriques d'époque archaïque. Fruit d'un important travail de rangement, d'informatisation et d'analyse mené lors de plusieurs campagnes d'études, cet ouvrage complète et renouvelle notre connaissance de ces sculptures, l'illustrant par une couverture photographique entièrement nouvelle et une vingtaine de dessins originaux.

Jean-Luc Martinez est historien de l'art grec. Agrégé d'histoire, ancien membre de l'École française d'Athènes (1993-1996), il a été conservateur en charge des sculptures grecques antiques au Louvre (1997-2007), directeur du département des Antiquités grecques, étrusques et romaines (2007-2013) et président-directeur (2013-2021) du même musée. Il prépare actuellement la publication du monument de Delphes dit la « Colonne des Danseuses ».

The Henry Moore Foundation was founded by the artist and his family in 1977 to encourage public appreciation of the visual arts. We run two venues, in Leeds and Hertfordshire, showing a mix of Moore’s own work and other sculpture.

Our aim is to make a hub for sculpture, connecting a global network of artists and scholars, continuing research into the art form and ensuring that sculpture is accessible and celebrated by a wide audience.

Flirt FM 101.3 is Galway City's award winning Student, Community & Alternative Station, based in the University of Galway since September 1995. With 2.6 paid staff, the station is home to up to 150 volunteers.
