Postcards From Cleethorpes is a musical in four minutes — a love letter to Cleethorpes, inspired by a collection of postcards sent from the town in the 20th century.

Composer Stuart Wood worked with local voices and musicians - including a brass band - to capture both the joy of a Lincolnshire seaside pleasure garden and the quiet melancholy of the Humber estuary, as the backdrop to an evocative tale of love and loss.

Alice Murray and Sam Simmons bring their gifts for heartfelt storytelling through song.

Ruth Varela’s art direction weaves the drama into original vintage postcards.

Part-funded by Create North East Lincolnshire, the project brings together professional and community talent in a celebration of seaside culture, identity, and memory.

When Man United came to Bray, nudists went to Naylor's Cove and Liz Anne's heartfelt goodbye.

This week we head back to the 1950s when Bray Wanderers took on the mighty Manchester United. We hear from the last surviving member of that Bray team! We also dive into the swimming glory days at Naylor’s Cove, where nudists once braved the outdoor pools, and we recall the curious segregation on Bray beach marked by a flagpole and 150 yards of ‘no man’s land’. Plus, Café owner Liz Anne Molloy bids a warm farewell to the customers she’s cherished for three decades.

“Seacoasting” is my latest dive into blending shimmering nu-disco textures with the thick, rolling bass of modern house music. It’s a track inspired by the rhythm of the Seacoast—long sunlit hours on the beach followed by all-night energy in Portsmouth’s clubs.

Built on glowing disco chords, beach-breeze melodies, and a driving house low-end, the song rides that perfect line between nostalgia and late-night momentum. Warm synths, male vocals, upbeat groove patterns, guitar strums, and a tide-like bassline push the track forward, capturing the feeling of cruising the shoreline by day and stepping into the dance floor lights after dark.

This is part of my ongoing exploration into disco-infused rhythms and deeper house bass design—expanding my sound while staying rooted in the coastal atmosphere that inspires so much of my music.
