From sparkling icicles to wolves in the forest, the joy of sledding at high speed or the wonder of the Aurora Borealis on a frosty night, discover the magic and mysteries of the wintry season.

And just what did make those tracks in the snow? Find out as the band’s playful humour and trademark folk and trad melodies celebrate some of the things we love to see and do when the world turns white.

Tracks in the Snow was commissioned and produced by The Ark as part of our mission to create high-quality music performances crafted especially for young audiences. The show premiered at The Ark in Dec 2015 followed by a further sell-out run in Dec 2017.

Dedicated to our granddaughter, Brooklyn, who passed in November 2020. With deepest love and gratitude to her parents—our daughter, Alexis, and son-in-law, Jeremy—whose unwavering courage, advocacy, and love carried her—and all of us—through every season.

Within sterile walls, they whispered love, 
Their fragile daughter, a gift from above. 
Her tiny heart, a flickering flame, 
Bound by tubes and wires yet love sustained.

The sun remained, a distant dream, 
Spring flowing faster, like a stream. 
In their eyes, a fierce resolve, 
Cherished moments, however small.

Hospital walls kept you in a distant place.

Good day everyone, thanks for dropping by my channel during the holidays! October to December are the best time of the season for me! Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's really cheeer me up! I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday this year, the way the world is looking right now, we need one!! 
      I wrote this song in 2020, a few months after the pandemic hit, it was such a scary time, I thought humanity finally had managed to kill itself off, after years and years of trying to do it! I spent several weeks recording it because it's has an odd time signature, and I added so many instruments and I think I recorded 7 vocal tracks for it too, so it was a work of love for me. Charlie couldn't get it and now he can't come over to record the vocals because of personal issues, hence you've got my awful Ogre-like voice! (Sorry!) 
     I wanted a song to celebrate life and to show all the 4 seasons. I tried to compare the seasons coming and going with loved ones that often times come and go in our lifes. I thought this would be a perfect time to drop this song and video, just before Thanksgiving here in the U.S.

     I worked very hard on the video, it took like over a month, I had to spend hours going through clips and editing and re-editing then mixing and remixing the audio as well. A Labor Of Love for sure! I want to take this time to say "Thank You" to everyone that supports me and my channel, I am truely thankful for that and for your lovely comments that always brings joy to my heart!  You guys are the best! Thank you very much!
     All instruments and vocals on this song are just me, warts and flat notes and all! I hope you guys like it! I will be wrapping up this month with a special cover of The Beatles song of "In My Life".  Charlie, my wife, and I recorded it before the Pandemic. I made the video for it earlier this year. I'm dropping it on my birthday because "In my life I love you more". Anita played the Harpsichord solo and the piano and did an outstanding job too! 
     There will be many surprises next month, lots of Christmas songs new and old and a few odd songs too. Take care everybody and have a safe and very Happy Thanksgiving! Here's to the Seasons of our life! May they always return! Cheers!🥂
