M is a poet, performer, explorer, baker, knitter, and geologist. Her one woman show, The Letter C, premiered at The Sunflower Theatre in April 2025 and her book of poetry by the same title is available to purchase. When she isn’t knitting or baking you can find her tenderly descending local trails on her mountain bike.

Dave has been a world traveler and a lover of the obscure and unusual. His creative interests include large, interesting and sometimes difficult projects along with historical research. Vintage equipment, and repurposing space in old homes and buildings are something he enjoys. He also loves deeply serious and funny conversations throughout his southwest community.

Aaron is a psychotherapist, meditation teacher, and creator of the Authentic Relating Lab – a space for practicing real human connection. He’s passionate about human potential and believes our relationships are where we grow the most.  Off the clock, he’s usually exploring the San Juan Mountains, pursuing his own version of whole-hearted living.

TJ is a gender-awkward, people-focused, they/them/her creative residing in Southwest Colorado, near a small arts town with two agreeable horses, a dog that wiggles, one that worms, and more friends than one human can count.  Their work as a storyteller holds a cohesive theme, expressed in multiple mediums: music, painting, and the written word, all weaving together the threads of who we are as humans and life in a rural landscape, while striving to be the best versions of ourselves as we inhabit this planet together.

Mark has done many things. Mark loves cats and sunsets. Mark is unsure about people. Mark tries to make the world a better place by saying things to people in the drive thru at the bank.  That’s it. Mark is a simple man.

Dr. Heidi Steltzer told her story at the Raven Narratives on the Sunflower Theatre stage in September 2025 when the theme was "secrets".

Heidi is a scientist, theologian, and mystic who recently founded the Center for Earth Theology in Cortez, Colorado. She's a scientist who wanted to save the world, a mystic who shows up at church, a speaker and writer who values connection. She's a forever student and spiritual teacher with a PhD in ecosystem science, 30 years experience in high mountain ecology, and is now getting a master's degree in religious studies.

Robin Mugwort Brodsky told her story at the Raven Narratives on the Sunflower Theatre stage in September 2025 when the theme was "secrets".

When Mugwort is not meandering the globe, she can be found (or not) wandering the canyons of the southwest in search of springs, ancient junipers and petroglyphs. Robin holds a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology and has worked in Outdoor Education and Wilderness Therapy. She's just published her first book, "Confessions of a Lazy Cyclist".

Robin is a lover of nature, beauty, corn, community, our bodies, soccer, and cold beers on the front stoop on a scorching August day after working all day. He cooks some mean ribs and is tired of therapy but still does it. He used to own alpacas and wants to sell you some rugs made of their fleece. Robin runs men's groups, retreats, and generally helps himself and others sort through the complexity of what it means to be a man.

“Late Night Cinema” unfolds like a fever dream inside an old, half-forgotten movie theater. With flickering projector light and the hum of neon as its backdrop, the song paints a hazy picture of desire, secrecy, and shame. The lyrics use the language of film — reels, screens, and scenes — to explore moments of raw intimacy and emotional distance. Beneath the sensual imagery lies a sense of voyeurism and guilt, as if the listener is both audience and actor in a forbidden story.

Musically, it pairs smoky vocals with a slow, pulsing rhythm and vintage textures — think analog warmth, creaking floors, and echoing synths that fade like closing curtains. “Late Night Cinema” isn’t a love song; it’s a confession whispered between flickers of light, where passion feels like a secret best left off-screen.

LATE NIGHT CINEMA

When I wrote ‘Velvet Shadows,’ I felt like I was walking through a twilight realm where emotion and memory intertwine. Every lyric came from a place of intimacy and revelation, tracing the contours of love as both luminous and fragile. I imagined rivers of gold carrying laughter, constellations forming across skin, and moonlight whispering secrets that only hearts in tandem could hear. But alongside that radiance, the shadows always crept—subtle claws of doubt and insecurity, whispering in corners where trust trembles.

Singing the song, you can almost feel the push and pull of connection and miscommunication, the way gestures and words collide, split, and sometimes distort the delicate fabric of intimacy. The pre-chorus and chorus became my map of tension, a ritual of naming storms that have no easy label, where blame and green-eyed fear mingle with desire and devotion. I wanted the listener to feel both the exhilaration of closeness and the vulnerability of exposure, the way love can be a ship navigating between light and shadow.

By the bridge, I let the truth shine through—a quiet confession of hidden desires, the twists that lie beneath even the most sacred bonds. The song became more than a story of two hearts; it became an exploration of the inner cosmos, where forgiveness, longing, fear, and joy all orbit one another. The outro reflects a bittersweet awareness: love is a living, breathing entity, full of secrets, capable of both soaring and shattering.

‘Velvet Shadows’ is my offering to the unseen, the quiet spaces between words and gestures. It is a spell woven in melody, a journey through the luminous and the dark, where listeners might recognise their own reflections, their own trembling, and perhaps find solace in the beauty of imperfection and the sacred rhythm of hearts learning to bend without breaking.

Velvet Shadows

Sparse, resonant piano notes echo in the darkness, supported by a deep, brooding bass. A haunting cello weaves between the spaces, heightening the atmosphere of tension and unease. The minimal arrangement evokes a sense of uncertainty and looming danger, perfect for cinematic drama, psychological thrillers, or crime investigations. (Stem files available.)

I'm a Polish producer who's all about making electronic music that sounds great on your radio, not just in the darkest corner of a club. My passion is melodic electronic music built around strong vocals. I love taking the emotional vibes from film scores and mixing them with the swagger of R'n'B, Pop, Jazz to make something fresh and catchy.
