At the cusp of sixty, Granny discovered that creativity has no expiration date. 

With no prior experience creating music or using DAWs, she embarked on an exploratory digital music journey using GarageBand: 

Little did she know that quest would translate into a new roadmap for her life.

What began as simple curiosity quickly evolved into deep exploration of sonic landscapes through loops, samples, and layered sound design. Her long-dormant creative fires were reignited.

How Granny Got Her Groove Back emerged as the artist name the moment she began sharing music with others — a playful nod to reinvention and resilience, inspired by the film How Stella Got Her Groove Back.

Music has been Granny’s lifelong companion—a source of both inspiration and refuge—from school band and choir, to years as a dancer and pianist, rhythm and melody have been essential to how she breathes and moves in the world.

Hi, Im Tyler Kidd! As a child I spent a lot of time around music. My grandfather was a karaoke DJ, so some nights I’d get to watch him an my mom sing. I learned a lot, and always enjoyed singing. My Grandpa recorded my first cover of “Im Proud To Be An American” by Lee Greenwood at around age 5.

My dream has always been to become a rockstar, but more importantly to make my Mom proud. Lets be real, I was probably a mistake, but I want to prove to me Mom all her hard work wasn’t for nothing. I was a pain in the ass as a teenager and it’s time to make up for that! Let’s get mom a new home!!

I’ve played guitar for over 10 years now. Music helps me cope which is why I do all of this! As a teen I was very depressed due to relationship issues. Thankfully I am way past that now, and because of peoples support and belief in my music I am able to release these emotions and cope with them in a better way!

I hope to inspire other to follow their dreams and pursuit of happiness!!

In 2017, he relocated back to the beating heart of techno, Berlin, before recently returning to the Sunshine State in 2020. This multicultural upbringing can be felt in the way that Alex blends together tracks from a broad range of genres, from deep house to psy-trance and everything in between.

As PLAYdifferently's brand manager, he successfully launched Richie Hawtin's MODEL 1 mixer onto the scene. As a product specialist for Allen & Heath, Alex utilized his electrical engineering talents to assist with the development of the Xone:96 mixer. He is deeply passionate about both the art of DJing and the technology used by performers to express themselves.

When not rocking the dancefloor himself, Alex spends his time touring with top-notch artists such as Chris Liebing and Tale Of Us. He is constantly pushing the boundaries of electronic music, exploring new sounds and techniques to create a unique and unforgettable experience for his fans.
