UPLIFTING LIFE TRANCE EPISODE 222 (05.10.2025)

After I got inspired by the videotape of Innercity mixed by Ferry Corsten, i decided to start DJ-ing in 2000. As of then Trance music has been my favorite and have I recorded hundreds of dj sets. In 2023 I started with the Symphony of Sounds recordings which contain the latest releases on several labels that caught my attention. Hallo ik wil mezelf even voorstellen 
                  
                  
 
Mijn naam is Sjaak Smits aka DJ Grey,ben geboren op 17/10/64 te Jutphaas en al heel jong geinteresseerd in verschillende muziek stijlen
Mijn eerste single die ik kocht was van Donna Summer,daarna volgden vele platen en singles waar al mijn verdiende krantengeld aan op ging.
De eerste keer uitgaan in Cartouch Utrecht was in 1992, kwam ik in aanraking met de dance muziek,ik was meteen verkocht.
Heb in die tijd al een paar keer met een vriend samen geoefend om met vinyl te draaien maar het bleef ook bij die paar keer.
Ik ging toendertijd liever dansen dan draaien op grote dancefeesten maar de passie was wel geboren,zeker toen eenmaal de Trancemuziek opkwam.

Jaren later tijdens een zekere pandemie,heeft een vriend van me een pioneerset gekocht en mocht van hem er op oefenen.
Ik was zo enthousiast dat ik zelf ook een set heb aangeschaft.
Heb van verschillende DJ's tips en tricks geleerd op avonden hier thuis
Achteraf had ik dat vele jaren eerder moeten doen want wat geweldig vind ik dit!!menig uren ben ik aan het oefenen en heb een paar mixen op mixcloud gezet.
Er moest echter nog een naam komen en door mijn grijze lokken en leeftijd is DJ Grey geboren
mijn voorkeur gaat uit naar Trance/Uplifting Trance en Vocal Trance/Progressive/ en alle denkbare dance muziek !!! 
Het lijkt me geweldig om eens achter de DJ Booth te staan en misschien komt die droom nu uit maar vindt het ook wel heel erg spannend.
