According to  a 75-year-old Harvard study on happiness, the single greatest predictor of a happy and long life is close, healthy relationships. But when a close relationship fractures, whether that’s with a close friend or especially your spouse, it can have a devastating impact on your mental and emotional wellbeing that can take months, if not years to overcome. So today, I want to share a 5-step process for repairing and healing damaged relationships that’s truly been transformative in my own life. Over the past 6 months, I’ve repaired my relationship with my daughter and with my wife on more than one occasion. Whether you're the one who’s been hurt or the one who’s done the hurting, there’s a path forward—and it starts with humility, empathy, and a willingness to grow. What I’ve found is that in order to move forward, we have to learn how to shift from blame to responsibility, how to truly listen to someone else’s pain without defensiveness, and why forgiveness—both for yourself and others—is essential to healing. One of the biggest contributors of stress that is impacting millions of Americans right now is financial anxiety and economic uncertainty. In fact, according to a recent survey, 70% of the population is feeling the impact of the current economy. Not just mentally, but there's also a physical toll when your overall health, diet, and sleep habits start to slip. With that in mind, I'm sharing tips on mastering your mindset and three (3) simple steps that helped me turn things around from one of the darkest periods of my life in 2008, when I was drowning in debt, to doubling my income in just two months, even as the recession got worse. The Muslim Community Radio is a multicultural and multilingual Islamic radio station. It broadcasts to the Sydney community in general while incorporating elements that target the Islamic community of Sydney. It first transmitted twenty-four hours a day during the month of Ramadan of 1995 and has continued to broadcast during every month of Ramadan and Dhul-hijja (Pilgrimage month). In addition, in 1997 Muslim Community Radio was broadcasting on every Friday of that year until the introduction of the temporary broadcast community license (TBCL). Muslim Community Radio currently broadcasts 24 hours 365 days a year covering all Islamic events. Because Arabic/Lebanese is, according to statistics, the major ethnic language communicated among the Muslims in Sydney, understandably the radio programs are primarily transmitted in the Arabic and English languages with spots of other community languages, evolving in pace with demand.
