It's been almost three years since I dropped Musicality IX. I see this compilation series as a personal expression. Not just from compiling music that I admire but a reflection on who I am and where I am during the time of its release.
 
Volume IIX came to you during the 2020 Covid outbreak, then IX dropped ten years since my first. This means I haven’t expressed my musical passion with you all since 2021! We took a trip down memory lane with IX and even deeper with Classic House & Trance for the ‘Classic Edition’, so I wanted to make sure X had a greater meaning, offering a bigger impact.
 
I'm excited to share Musicality X with you. I think it captures something special. Even if I do not reach a lot of streams or downloads, none of that matters. I enjoy listening back to Musicality, as a self-reflection and a musical archive.
 
It doesn’t matter who the artists are, the labels, the speed, the genre, when the songs were released or even the musical direction; what does matter to me is the musical impact. There’s musicality in everything. Musicality is the quality of having a pleasant sound, all I ask from you, is to listen.

Johann Rosenbaum has already been fascinated with music early in his life. He tried all instruments he put his hands on without restraint. Later on he learned to play the piano and guitar and also his first computer, an Amiga, laid the foundation of his future as a composer in electronic music. 
When he turned 14 years old he bought two Technics Turntables and a mixer to try DJ-ing at home and studied a lot about it by himself. His studies/ experiments were contingent on sounds from Disco House to Deep House. 
Soon he had the courage to be a DJ at school parties and in youth clubs and realized that electronic music already became his absolute passion. In 2005 he discovered the 'Trance' scene because of producers like “Kyau & Albert“, “Above & Beyond“ and “Ronski Speed“. Johann mixed his own sets and regularly took part in forum contests which labeled him for his excellent beat matching back in '07. 
In 2011 he moved from Erfurt to Cologne to musically evolve. Johann played his summer sounds in various bars and lounges in the Ruhr Area. He plays in Cologne Arttheater since 2018. Johann Rosenbaum is a Part of Colognes “Liebevoll Tanzen” and “Raveathome”
In his repertoire are always fresh Progressive, deep and Melodicsounds as well as classic house sounds. 
At the moment Johann is teaching his diversified technical know-how to young DJs at the Music store in Cologne. In cooperation with Pioneer DJ he regularly offers workshops for their software “Rekordbox“.
