In this special interview we speak with John Wallace, a forest activist and Vice President of the Shawnee Park and Climate Alliance (https://www.shawneentlpark.org/). Wallace recently retired but previously worked as an Environmental Educator at Southern Illinois University's Touch Of Nature Environmental Center outside of Carbondale Illinois and as the Cedar Lake (a municipal water source for Carbondale, IL) Manager.

In this special we speak about the USDA Forest Service, Shawnee National Forest, Climate Change and The Shawnee Park and Climate Alliance.

Before Caucasians laid their eyes on this land
There were many tribes of Native Americans
Some followed the bison and spied out the land
Some never survived the invading white man

Apache, Comanche, Chickasaw and Choctaw
Shawnee, Pawnee, Cherokee and Chippewa
Seminole, Cheyenne, Creek and Iroquois
Had their own chiefs, rituals n spiritual laws

Sure there'd been fights between some of the tribes
Then the white man offered them trinkets and bribes
When the railroad came, it changed their way of life
With the bison gone, how were they to survive?

So we rounded them up without hesitation
Many died from the bug or from starvation
Traipsed through the mud to the reservation
If they didn't budge, they faced extermination

The civilized tribes tried assimilation
They lived and died in the Indian nation
The trail of tears was their forced migration
It nearly resulted in their obliteration

We sent their kids to boarding schools
So they would learn our laws and rules
They bent and lost their customs and culture
We descended on 'em like a bunch of vultures

They'd lost their main food, the American bison
So they were approved for a gambling license
What had once been only in Vegas and Reno
They now owned their own mega-casinos

Music is my Hobby meanwhile. Fashion too.  As a Stage-Technican and Camera-Operator I saw a lot. I am friendly, I like People & if you like you can call me "The Get it Done Girl "  

But as you know the Life as an Artist is hard. For example I remember that I get 4 Dollars for 1500 Streams sometimes. Who should take this serious:-)  Okay, 4 Dollars.  I worked for and with Celebs over decades in the past ( Studio and Stage )  I´ve  been written and recorded over 350 Hi-End Tracks. But all has an end. And the End has come since the Global Fives changed the lives of Millions of Artists. The CD Market was not comfortable:-)   So everything changed. But they tell us how to become famous. "Do this, Do that :-)  

I tell you what, I will do nothing more and I´ll no longer publish for their super business ideas, especially where my music is throwed away as a freebie for a 3 months smartphone mobile plan. I no longer feel like giving up my rights to my own music without any real advantage. I can't remember agreeing to stop uploading my own music later and not being allowed to publish it in my own videos again. It´s my own stuff .  Over 350 Hi-end Audio ( incl Video Productions )  I wrote, receorded and produced by blood, sweat and tears. Certainly not for people who have never played a single straight note in their lives or have never worked on a stage and/or performed as an act as well. But they bombard us what we need to do and how we need to do our stuff.  I won't spend a single dollar on a release anymore  (believe me it's expensive ) to get lost in the mass of xx millions of artists in this Zombie Business where one hacks against the other.   I tell you what,  the only thing I´ll do is to write and to produce for buyouts again. For Money 

Check out a bigger, longer Videoproduction ( Greenscreen ) which is   "The Time Capsule" ( Dueling with Michael Angelo Batio ) As an Audio-, Motion- & Filmdesigner I cleaned Millions of Greenscreen Frames in Nuke and built tons of 3d High-End Backgrounds and composed that in 3ds Max. For Cut and Color-Grading I used Blackmagicdesign - Davinci Resolve.
