This release took longer than expected.
Serendipity had it that our dear friend Jean-Henri from the Morta Knives wanted some music in his Atelier.
Covid happened and the Afrobeat Icon Tony Allen passed.
Then my kinsman, friend an Afrobeat Icon Oghene “Mr OK” Kologbo died. 
Here’s my 1st official release ever. 
I had to start with this tune and this video.
I can’t think of a better way to honour Oghene “Mr OK” Kologbo.

The band SIGNS are all from Loire Atlantique, France. 
This is also where I live and where Mister OK played his final tune.

You're either in tune and in rhythm... Or not.

My name is Saskia Temisanre Oghenerhienrhe “Shinri Tee” Scott-Emuakpor van Es. I have since I remember practising thought lived in the Kingdom of Music.
I love Music because it is mathematics and it can’t lie… 
Either you’re in tune and in rhythm or not.

I started Music as a lyricist. I use the word lyricist instead of rapper because in the beginning I only liked rapping to ragga and other more melodious rhythms than the old school hiphop breakbeats going round.
In search of more melodious beats to rap to I became a singer/songwriter/guitarist.
Then in my quest to be able to understand how to produce my songs, I became a sound-engineer. 
Like I play keyboard I can now with my MIDI keys also call myself a multi-instrumentalist.
I studied at SoundEducation.nl ( https://www.soundeducation.nl ) in Utrecht, the Netherlands. I graduated Cum Laude in 2019. 

Someone asked me once "How do you write songs" I answered "How do you wake up?" I clarified "I never wake up the same… 
Sometimes grumpy, sometimes on my back, sometimes immediately full of live, sometimes with a song or a part of it.
The songs never come the same way neither. Sometimes something I saw, or a feeling, or something just said or a chord or a melody, a rhythm, a note, the elements... 
It always starts with an emotion I can't or can place. 
Then for some reason must express.

My prod is called Soul Sound 432.

432 because I tune to A=432Hz.
They say this is how Pythagoras tuned when he found the mathematical relationship of the Major Scale. 
But Heinrich Hertz hadn't measured the frequencies in Hz yet! 
However this tuning is very similar to the Eb tuning used in the olden days in blues…
Playing at 432Hz makes music softer and warmer and on several occasions I have had the blessing to experience the positive inclusive effect of A = 432Hz on the autistic spectral.
I’m interested in what Music does on a moleculair level, seeing that we humans are 60% to 80% made of water.

Soul Sound because we cannot create “new” chord progressions nor melodies. They all exist already. We can pluck them out of the air and when we combine these chords or melodies with our internal rhythm
we get original Music.
I believe our internal rhythm is dictated by or our pace of breathe and heartbeat, which is unique for every single one of us.
In this way I should be impossible for people to steal creations. 

I always thought 1 good song is enough to get going. 
So many good songs later I realise this not to be true.
I have always been told I have too many styles, that it would confuse the public. I believe that what it would do is mess up the profit maximization model the Music Industry has created.
Which artists creates only in one style? Having 1 style’s like being a factory that creates product from a mld.
There’s nothing wrong with that but why can’t artisinal music exists?
Why can’t I sing the blues when I’m melancholic, Rock when I’m irritated, Rap when I have something to say, Soul when I'm loving, Reggae when I feel guided, Afro when I feel like dancing, Folk when I’m alone with my guitar and Jazz when I feel complexities?
Anyways Jazz is a level, you can play every style of Music at the level Jazz.

This why Soul Sound 432 exists.

the deeper i get into my soundtechnology and production course,
the more i realise how many disrespectful musicians i have let play my songs over the years...
i wondered why i didn't do this type of study before to realise i didn't have any money before...
as soon as i did i started
AND my studies
AND looking after my heavily autistic mum who has been diagnosed with a degenerative muscle disease
(actually we looked after her for 3 years already without any money)
AND getting a bunch of kids out of care
God has a plan! All is well!
being a child of God is not demonstrated by going to church...
what is faith without works!!!
besides it reads in the bible that where 2 or more people are gathered to praise God they are in church
thus i am in church ALL day and EVERY day when i'm at home with my little family
all those people my mum has shown care for... where are you now!!!
it also reads in the bible that the road to hell is paved with good intentions!

2017 
My father told me not to procrastinate like he did, he repeated this on his deathbed. So, this year, I will put all my recordings online... My quest for perfection, my search for a team of like minded people, the yearning to have my off beat guitar riddims well received and bounced back to me, the want to let the songs develop themselves rather than have standard ways and ideas. The pleasure to be not surfing alone on the gorgeous waves of distorted feedback.

Well this and more I think I have finally found... So every month I will put a year of my work online, except for January. To be up to date at the end of the year, I have put my first six self produced albums online in January, the boxed set : " t h e p r o b l e m w i t h b e i n g m e ", which incidentally's also all that I did in England before I came to France.

It is a bit of a mess trying to find quality soundfiles after all these years of moving through Europe. There are wavs, aifs, mp3s, m4as and wmas... anyways a version of each song has been uploaded. I will be making slight changes (uploading superieur qualities where possible) and adding lyrics and background info as to the creation of each song and why it is in the state that it is was left... Voila what more can I say :-)

Everything may be downloaded free of charge and actually we will put all the surviving wavs and aifs on bandcamp where against a small donation ("even just a smile") you may procure yourselves those.
