So I kinda just got the idea literally on Christmas Eve that it'd be really funny if UF Gyftrot had the nice, wholesome hobby of brutally murdering old ladies, like in that one Christmas song "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer" (very long name). My hc is that he's like chained to a rock in a secluded part of Snowdin Forest, and on the Betrayal route you can free him and let him go on a murder spree. Despite the thumbnail, he'd also have stuff on him to remove, but it might be more like vandalism than Christmas gifts.

Ok so onto the song. Whenever I get a stupid idea like this, it naturally evolves into me wanting to make a banger-ass theme for said stupid idea, hence this. Obviously Gyftrot doesn't have a unique battle theme in Undertale, but Underfell ain't Undertale so whatever. I had to improvise for the leitmotifs, but I made sure to include some Christmas songs cus Gyftrot is, indeed, a Christmas monster.

YEAH BABY MOLLUSCOPHOBIA AIN'T GOT NOTHIN ON ME

So as some of you may know, about 3 years ago Ssgt. Frost started but never finished a track for Fellswap Emerald inspired by Hypermaniac. Finishing it has been on my bucket list for a while, but at some point I just decided to bite the bullet and do it. The MIDI for the original has been gone for some time now, so I had to recreate the lead that Frost created from scratch, and I think I did pretty well. From there, the goal was to evoke Hypermaniac, but also make it both a bit unique and sufficiently Fellswap Emerald-y. I didn't quote Hypermaniac directly at any point but I did borrow heavily from its structure. I also threw in the occasional leitmotif from other Fellswap Emerald tracks (mostly Papyrus tracks but I did kinda use one Sans track) and kept up the existing instrumentation from the original lead. I also wanted to give it a "phase 2" feel because a) while Hypermaniac wasn't made to be a phase 2 theme that's the general view of it atp and b) this works better than Molluscophobia cus shit wasn't even made for Fellswap Emerald LMAOOOO-

Anyway I think that's all I really have to say on this. As I said, credits to Ssgt. Frost for creating the original lead, and yeah, ebhoy.

So given that I decided to do something a lil special this month. I decided to do Striking the Demon Down, BUT... BUT... THERE'S TWO???? Yeah so if you don't know at some point Saster decided to remaster his old Underswap (or Revenge) megalo and kinda changed it drastically in a lot of ways. Many (including myself) consider this the definitive version of STDD, and so I've made it the A-Side for this cover (although it's based p much entirely on Pork's cover with harmonies from Nick Nitro's Disbelief version). I kinda always felt like this version always fit better for Revenge Papyrus though so that's why the thumbnail has him and his logo emphasized instead of the J (and obviously the old one for the aforementioned J). So shortly after I get this up the B-Side, based on the original version, will go up too.

Speaking of the thumbnail what do you guys think of this cute lil thing I did? I drew that fire column myself, it was very annoying. I couldn't find any that looked good online so I took matters into my own hands. I had to make it thinner too so that it didn't like block their faces. So that effect was a little annoying to make (YOU FUCKERS BETTER LIKE IT >:(🤬🤬)

So like I promised this is, as the kids say, the unc version of STDD, the OG, the old timer. This is what it sounded like back when all UTAU tracks sounded exactly the same instead of simply almost entirely the same, and changing the tempo of a megalo was a revolutionary and unique artistic choice. Given that, I tried to replicate that in this cover, resulting in a pretty simplistic track that only took a few hours to finish. It's still got some of my signatures that I put in basically every track, such as the SGM String backing and the mediocre mixing, but it's one of my more simplistic.

As I said before, I associate this older version of STDD more with the J as opposed to the newer version, so he's the one featured in the thumbnail along with his respective AU. And thus the gimmick has been paid off.
