Episode 17: What is a sibling assessment?

My sister and I grew up in the same household, with the same parents and upbringing, yet we developed vastly different beliefs about family. I have always embraced the traditions of family duty, believing in strong bonds, mutual responsibility, and the idea that family should always come first. My sister, however, prioritizes personal independence, seeing family as an important but non-binding aspect of life—something that should be based on choice rather than obligation. These opposing perspectives have led to deep discussions, disagreements, and ultimately, personal growth. Or it is about the broader tensions between love and independence, duty and freedom, tradition and change. By sharing stories, perspectives, and personal reflections, I hope to uncover what family truly means in the modern world.
