La grand-mère d'une de mes amies avait été une très grosse fumeuse toute sa vie. Et quand sa grand-mère est morte, mon amie a hérité de la maison et a emménagé. Elle avait été une fumeuse sociale auparavant, et quand elle a emménagé dans cette maison, elle est devenue une véritable fumeuse à un paquet par jour.

Et à un moment en fait elle s'en plaignait et disait à quel point elle voulait vraiment arrêter. Un jour je restais pour la nuit et quand je me suis réveillée, l'esprit de sa grand-mère était simplement là debout dans la pièce se comportant du genre, " Qu'est-ce que tu fais là ? " Et j'étais là, " Je dors ici ". Je pouvais sentir dans son espace, dans l'espace de l'esprit, toute l'énergie de la fumée. Et c'était super présent là.

Et j'ai réalisé que le corps de mon amie avait vraiment capté les signaux de fumée de sa grand-mère.

Nous pensons aux entités comme n'ayant pas de corps, mais en fait ce n'est pas vrai. Ils ont une forme énergétique qui a encore une influence.

Electronic signals from somewhere

The Analog Kid: The second track from the 1982 album Signals and one of my all-time favorite Rush songs. The lyrics, production and probably best of all, one of the most epic chorus sections in Rock history. Like my Subdivisions cover, I tried very hard to recreate this song note-for-note using VST software instruments (with exception to the borrowed vocal glory of Geddy Lee). I also took a page from their live versions and added a third chorus at the end of the song. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it!
