Someone recently described a tune as 'The lords DNB, crusty old tech roller'. And that made me smile. Because that is exactly what I love and miss haha. A lot of the new dnb I hear just doesn't have that magic something that hits you right in the 'urghh'. So, that being said I dug out a massive pile of 'crusty old tech rollers' and tunes that make you pull faces like you smelt the duttiest nappy and figured out / remembered how to double drop as many as possible, and wham bam Robert is ya mothers brother. So without further hesitation, Volume 6 in the 4TheHeadz chapters of my 100% WAX Mix series. This one is defo for the heads as well, someone who heard it the other day said it should come with a health warning this one hahaha. Full tracklist below.

The Raven Knows is a lyrical exploration of fate, memory, and unseen truth.
The raven is not a metaphor, but a presence – watching, remembering, and reflecting what we try to hide.

The text follows a narrator who encounters this silent witness across time. The raven speaks without speaking. He knows every secret, every moment of fear, every path that was never truly left.

Through clear, poetic language, the lyrics trace how we carry our past, how silence echoes, and how something outside of us always sees.

It is a quiet confrontation with what lingers.

The Raven Knows ist ein lyrischer Blick auf Schicksal, Erinnerung und verborgene Wahrheit.
Der Rabe ist keine Metapher, sondern eine reale Präsenz – still, allwissend, beunruhigend vertraut.

The Raven Knows

Eor Drahcyr is a rapper and producer (Chuck Da Child) from London who recently relocated to the West Midlands in England. A skilled lyricist touching on real life experiences usually with a humorous undertone. He has released 2 E.P's (when formerly known as Richard Roe) - Silent Witness: The Voice of No One in 2014 and Richard Roe Vs. The Strawman in 2021. He later released a mixtape titled Odds Off: 1/1,000,000 in 2022 and is due to release his debut LP at the end of February 2024 entitled 'Silent Witness Vs. The Strawman'. His storytelling paints vivid pictures, distinct voice and witty delivery, coupled with his ability to range from a plethora of topics make him hard to forget about.

I love drum&bass...  But my first and forever love is Chicago house.  I love it all.  Well, not all- no country or trance.  Apologies.

Born and bred Londoner Tom Frankel is emerging as one of the nu breed of extra talented dance producers breaking out onto the scene. 

Over the last few years he has honed his trade by playing at legendary clubs such as The Egg, where he is a regular feature, plus many gigs at huge London clubs such as Studio 338, The Cause, Lightbox, Fabric in the UK. While also doing many seasons in Ibiza playing at Sankeys, Privilege, Viva, Zoo project, Hypercolour, and underground haven Plan Be.


Tom has played alongside industry greats such as Bushwacka!, Steve Lawler, Subb-An, Dubfire, Nina Kraviz, Julian Perez, Darius Syrossian, Bicep and Move D, but it is now that Tom himself is starting to take the limelight. 

His productions are fresh, forward thinking, and always with the dance floor in mind, creating his own unique fusion of House music where he has releases and remixes on labels such as Burnski's label Constant Sound and iO (Mulen) imprint OLDiViBES and more recently with his and Dayne Harper own imprint Council Work receiving a lot of attention, with support from Ben UFO, Call Super and Loco Dice amongst others, plus no1 chart positions on Beatport and Deejay.de for the first two releases. 

Tom has earned the admiration of his peers and rightly so, he’s a chap with a lively, transfixing personality and his sets are spirited and distinct, marrying a rich medley of current house, garage and minimal music with sounds from a bygone era. His rapid climb to success is attributable to his hard work and endearing character, which combined with his expert musical knowledge make him a serious one to watch in the future.
