The stars, they witness my cosmic plight,
Glued to the earth but bathed in their light.

The cosmic currents, they feel so near,
I’m desperate to surf that heliosphere.

Like a freaky, naked, space pioneer.

I found a quark under the cabinet last week,

I scooped it up before my wife came around,
And I hurried it off to where it couldn’t be found.

When I looked online for a solution to this mess,
AI suggested that the basement would be best.

I found a quark under the cabinet today,

It’s the second goddamn quark that I’ve seen around.

I really ought to feed them, but I don’t know what they eat,
A rotisserie chicken, but just the dark meat?

I found another quark in the same exact way,
It’s the third quark I’ve found in half a dozen days.
I put it worth the others beneath the basement stairs,
My wife knows somethings up, it’s in the way she stares.

Now down in the cellar, all three in the dark,
it’s not like I’ll leash them and go out to the park.

I found another fucker this time out in the hall,
Covered in my cats hair, and rolled up in a ball.
I washed it off with Dawn and stowed it with the others,
This is getting to be something I can't keep under cover.

The thing is, you can not just expect to walk in
somewhere and talk other people into being like
you. It is just not the way it works.

When I arrived on my very first mission
I thought about that adage ‘bout teachin’ men fishin’
I carried my books and my sermons in my hand
To guide a few souls in a faraway land

But they opened their tables, they opened their doors
They showed me a grace that I’d been searching for
I went there to teach, but I then I learned instead
How to soften my heart and just let myself be led

I spoke of the future, of progress and gain
But they spoke of patience, and letting go of pain
I showed them all my lessons, then they sang me their songs
And I found what I hadn’t wanted, but needed all along

Life is about sharing view points and taking everybody’s
point of view seriously. With out that, we have chaos.

And they showed me a kind of peace that I’d been longing for
You see, I went there to give, but I learned how to receive
And to find my own healing in what those folks believe

Sometimes the teacher is really the student
And sometimes the wise are the ones called imprudent

If you expect people to find their answers only in the
places that you have looked, then you do not have your
eyes open.

If you do not have your eyes open, you are not ready to

to teach. You can not just expect to walk in
somewhere and talk other people into being like you. It is

Double Dip are a female young Australian duo, that delve deep into a variety of thick, energised sounds, ranging from house party to hi-tek. With a passion for all areas of electronic music, these boundary-less blondes have been seen orchestrating huge dance floors and memorable moments across NSW. Having started their journey in 2017 playing for the perpetual partying of rural University, Double Dip have maintained their reputation in Sydney’s underground music scene. 

Double Dip explore threads of iconic chunk, distinct funk and heavy bouncy bass through an expanse of genres. A small handful of their favourites being; house, techno, psytrance, prog, hitek and DnB. As soul mates and partners in crime, these two are renowned for their stage presence and epic energy on the decks. Making a conscious effort to include the audience in their mayhem always, they rely heavily on the current mood of the dance floor, switching it up and keeping the crowd on their tippy toes.
