E a página que escolhemos para este tributo? O mágico concerto no Central Park, em Nova York, em setembro de 1981. 

Uma elegante e emocionante volta no tempo de um dos concertos mais icônicos da música. E além deles, o som nacional com reverencias também ao já saudoso Agnaldo Rayol!

QUINTA CLÁSSICA com André Bonomini - 14/11/2024 (NOITE DE GALA: Simon & Garfunkel no Central Park)

"All of Her Splendor" is a song musing on masculine and feminine archetypes. It plays with sexual symbolism, ego surrender and the inexplicable rewards of living to a greater, more Divine purpose.

This song was written 16 years ago, inspired by Martin Scorsese's "No Direction Home: Bob Dylan". Though the recording was essentially done around 2008, it sat on the shelf for well over a decade. Why? I don't know. Songs have a life of their own. In 2024, after giving it a fresh mix, adding Mathias Kunzli on percussion and changing the arrangement, slightly, this final version was born. 

All of Her Splendor

With a touch of Simon & Garfunkel in there, this piece is a kind of re-interpretation of Earthly Delights by AURORA with the instrumental of her other song A Soul With No King (the Nature version).

Credit and praise to Mr Håkon Aase for his playing on that fiddle in A Soul With No King.. utterly spellbinding! I heard it in a dream in which I followed someone, through a garden that felt like a jungle, and we wore no shoes. I heard a voice softly saying, 'First, you made for me a river, so I would have water' and I felt at peace.. I wanted to recreate that as soon as I woke. It made sense that it should exist as a musical piece. So I did it. Here you go.

I'm a NorCal based Songwriter, Record Producer, Composer and Guitarist.

This is the place to hear all the songs & music I write & produce.

I write music in the Pop/Rock/Electronic realm and sometimes crossover into other genres for fun. I also score movies from time to time. 

Besides writing and releasing my own songs, I produce and develop rising Pop and Indie Rock artists. 

My musical influences are broad. In no particular order I would say: My pianist father Georges Rubissow, Chopin, Butch Vig, The Beatles, Underworld, Miles Davis, Elliot Smith, Garbage, Caetano Veloso, Earth Wind & Fire, LTJ Bukem, Ennio Morricone, Santana, Radiohead, William Orbit, Brian Eno, Shania Twain, Prince, Gypsy Kings, The Pretenders, Mutt Lange, Pink Floyd, Hans Zimmer, Digital Underground, Sting, Beethoven, Neil Young, Herbie Hancock, Caravan Palace, Norah Jones, Michael Jackson, Elvis Costello, Keith Urban, Kayhan Kalhour, Allison Krauss, Pat Metheny Group, Foo Fighters, Pop, Rock & Electronic music in general and countless loud rock and dance shows.

Whatever the music is, I want it to be in my face. It doesn’t have to be loud. It has to be real. I want it to be full of emotional power and to bravely show it. I want to feel it.

An American/Canadian, I grew up in Berkeley, California and then in rural Devon England during the 70s. I played violin as a kid, but at age 13 I suddenly announced I was dropping violin to take up guitar instead. 

As a young guitarist I was amazed by the sheer power of Led Zeppelin, Boomtown Rats and BB King. I taught myself all their songs by ear from listening to cassette tapes over and over and over again late at night - driving my mom and sister absolutely mad.

My Dad was a physicist/pianist and through him I developed a keen appreciation of Liszt, Chopin and Beethoven’s piano works. I memorized the melodies of their famous etudes, preludes and sonatas as I fell asleep hearing my Dad play them downstairs at night.

My sister loves Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, The Commodores, Chicago, Marvin Gaye & Aretha Franklin. And through our home stereo system I discovered all kinds of amazing music in my sister's collection of LPs.

My mother enjoys straight-ahead Jazz and Be Bop, as well as show tunes. I must have heard My Fair Lady 20,000 times. Jesus Christ Superstar also. Musical Theater is where some of the best and most creative music is being made.

Mom took me to my first Jazz shows and to plays in London's West End and I got completely hooked on Jazz, particularly hard-bop and fusion.

After high school I attended Berklee College of Music and focused on Guitar, Arranging and Composition.

Later, while living in Los Angeles I began writing and performing my own intensely melodic pop and alternative songs at clubs all over town. I also scored several indie films and documentaries. In the 90s, KCRW FM was the first to add and play my music in eclectic rotation.

Then I took a big detour working a couple decades in the wine business which is also a love and family passion. Though I am no longer a Wine Producer, I still consult in the wine world while working as a Music Producer.

I’m always listening to what’s new and how artists and producers are crafting their sound and authenticity.

I write drafts of most of my music in my head or on guitar first, and then work it all out by recording rough tracks & beats in Logic and then gradually addiing, subtracting layers to find sounds and feelings that work.

All musicians are much more diverse than their recordings tell you. As musicians our influences help inspire who we are, but in the end, our own authentic voice is unique and may not sound anything like the music and artists we love most.

Pense em uma rádio criada com o propósito de conectar. Conectar pessoas, experiências, sentimentos … estilos de vida. A música é o que nos move e nos faz sentir vivos. É através da música, da comunicação e das vivências que conseguimos dar voz ao que faz bem.

E essa história não começou agora. A União foi a primeira rádio FM a atuar na região do Vale do Rio dos Sinos, no Rio Grande do Sul. Fundada em 06 de março de 1980, a União Fm 105.3 é a trilha sonora de diversas gerações. A programação traz as principais informações do dia e músicas que misturam clássicos e novidades. Tudo isso apresentado com muita descontração pelo time de comunicadores da rádio.

Atualmente o sinal da 105.3 chega aos ouvintes da grande Porto Alegre, passando pelo Litoral, Serra, Vales do Sinos, Paranhana, Caí e Jacuí.

A União Fm também está presente no sul do estado. Em 2007, a emissora fundou uma filial em Pelotas: a 99.9 FM. A União FM Zona Sul abrange uma área de 13 municípios. São eles: Amaral Ferrador, Arroio do Padre, Canguçu, Capão do Leão, Cerrito, Morro Redondo, Pedro Osório, Pelotas, Piratini, Rio Grande, São José do Norte, São Lourenço e Turuçu.

Desde abril de 2021, a Rede União Fm ampliou a atuação para Santa Catarina. Fundada em 1982, a União Fm 96.5 – Blumenau – sempre priorizou em sua programação músicas de qualidade e mensagens de esperança. Destacando a cultura local, a emissora ingressou na Rede União Fm com o desafio de aproximar ainda mais a audiência e reforçar a presença multiplataforma oferecendo mais informação, interatividade, prestação de serviços e músicas que acompanham o ritmo das pessoas.  Além de Blumenau, a rádio pode ser sintonizada em toda região do Vale Europeu, no norte do Estado e no litoral catarinense.

Em todos esses anos a União Fm evoluiu, acompanhou tendências, renovou e hoje – além de música – leva cultura, conteúdo de qualidade, informação e experiências diferenciadas a sua audiência. Tudo isso para conectar-se cada vez mais com o público também pelas redes sociais e plataformas digitais.

I grew up in India in the 60s and 70s and these are bands that were the soundtrack to my younger years. Most of these songs are covers of some great singers and songs I grew up listening to. It's a joy and an honor to sing these covers. I try to do them like the originals wherever I can. I sing all the voices and play the instruments that are on each cover. Sheri Miller is a gifted artist-songwriter who released the critically praised records Mantra and Winning Hand, and many singles including “I Could Love You Still” featuring legends Will Lee, Paul Shaffer and Steve Cropper.
