CYBERIA 3.0 - A Night of Trance and Progressive at The White Rabbit @ Water Street - 2.23.24

“Söylesem tesiri yok, sussam gönül razı değil” kabilinden, yazmakla yazmamak arasında
gidip geldiğim bir yazı bu. Ama “sussam gönül razı değil” diyen tarafım yine galebe çaldı ve
mecburen kalem oynatma kararı verdim.
Meselem, yaklaşan yerel seçimler ve bu yerel seçimlerin an itibariyle büründüğü “yavan ve
şişkin” hal.
Biraz geriden alayım.
Geçtiğimiz yıl süreci son derece gergin geçen iki seçim atlattık. Tayyip Erdoğan’a karşı
birleşen 6 benzemezin hiçbir kural tanımaksızın yürüttükleri seçim velvelesi ile onlara inanan
geniş toplumsal kesimlerin yaşadığı büyük hayal kırıklığı başta olmak üzere son derece
yorucu bir süreç oldu hepimiz adına. Sanki iki değil de yirmi iki seçimden oluşan bir
maratonu geride bırakmış gibi olduk hepimiz.
Bu yorgunluğun üzerinden 1 yıl bile geçmeden girdiğimiz yerel seçim atmosferini “yavan”
olarak tanımlayacağım izninizle.
Seçime bir ay var ve yanılıyorsam her türlü düzeltmeye açık olarak beyan etmek isterim ki ne
parti genel merkezlerinin ne adayların ne de kampanyaların “ne söylediğini” henüz anlamış
değiliz. Evet, hiçbir partiyi ve birkaçı hariç hiçbir belediye başkan adayını dışarıda
bırakmadan yapıyorum bu tespiti.
Sadece Cumhurbaşkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’ın ve İYİ Parti Genel Başkanı Meral
Akşener’in ne dediği anlaşılıyor şu süreçte. Gerisi, kocaman bir kakofoni.

Nine years ago, Suzanne left her career as a University Lecturer and Sony Academy Award winning Broadcast Journalist at the BBC and Capital FM, to follow her passion and work full time in electronic music. She was the first producer to join Distorted Productions alongside co-founders Andi Durrant and Nick Riley. 

Since then she’s worked on over 300 episodes of the VONYC Sessions with Paul van Dyk, helped Dannic create, design and launch Fonk Radio, and produced Solarstone’s Pure Trance Radio flagship episodes 100 & 200, live from Armin van Buuren’s ASOT studios in Amsterdam. Episode 100 hit the number one spot trending on Twitter and was voted the ‘Best Studio Live Mix’ at the Trance Podium Awards 2017.

Suzanne also hosts her own weekly radio show, Voyager Radio, which is broadcast around the world in fifteen countries on FM, DAB and online. 

In addition to this she’s released her own music on Blackhole Recordings, Paul van Dyk’s VANDIT Records, Pure Trance and Amsterdam Trance. 

In 2019 she teamed up with one of the most recognisable vocalists in electronic music, Sue McLaren, to work on new music and support other women coming into the scene. 

The duo launched Siskin in April 2019 with their first release “Real Love” on Paul van Dyk’s VANDIT Records. They were featured in Mixmag in September 2019, and their second release “Beautiful Lie” was included on two ‘Best of 2019’ compilations.

Tom Bradshaw began his DJ journey at just 11 years old in the late '90s, deeply inspired by trance icons like Armin van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk and Judge Jules—especially the electrifying Saturday Night Mixes on BBC Radio 1. That early passion for high-energy, uplifting and tech trance sounds laid the foundation for what would become a lifelong dedication to the genre.

In 2011, Tom launched Killswitch Radio, a hard-hitting monthly show that quickly amassed a global fanbase, running for over a decade with more than 140 episodes. The show became a platform for his signature style—fusing uplifting tech trance and techno—and featured exclusive live sets recorded from his studio and club gigs, alongside guest appearances from fellow DJs.

Fast forward to 2023, Tom unveiled Infinity—a fresh evolution of his sound and radio presence. This new monthly show explores the full spectrum of trance, reflecting his broad musical taste and commitment to pushing boundaries within the genre.

He also co-founded Hello Trance, a global platform and brand created with US-based DJ and producer Kate Kory (aka Tarvali). Hello Trance serves as a hub for all things trance, featuring artist spotlights, exclusive mixes, and in-depth interviews via their growing podcast and website: www.hellotrance.com.

Tom's high-octane sets and undeniable passion for trance have taken him across the UK and Europe, with standout performances on the Ibizan Heat Tour with Hindsight in San Antonio and a memorable set for Newstyle Perspective in Zwickau, Germany—broadcast live on-air.

In 2019, Tom joined forces with long-time friend Mike Clark to launch EQ: The Heart of Trance & Progressive, a monthly show aired on Bristol’s Bradley Stoke Radio. After Mike’s departure in 2021, Tom carried the torch solo under the new tagline "Get Uplifted," doubling down on his driving uplifting and tech trance sound before wrapping up the project in 2022 to focus on new ventures.

Back home in the UK, Tom has played for some of the most respected trance brands and events including Goodgreef, Delusion, Journey, Lifeline, Transcend, Tranceology, Tangled Up, and Elevation Audio.

In 2014, he launched Trance Is Here, a successful club night and radio show that ran for three years. Following this, he stepped back to dedicate more time to production and touring.

Tom’s production work continues to gain momentum. His debut release—a collaboration with Eric Zimmer & The Muzik Dealerz titled Mind Calling—was signed to respected label DMAX, earning support from top-tier names in the trance community.

Currently, Tom is hard at work in the studio crafting brand-new solo material, ready to take dancefloors by storm in his upcoming sets.
