DJ Sonar feat. E-Train, MC Blaze, & Tyler - The Tyler Sessions

This mix was recorded at The Berzerkley House in South Lake Tahoe, CA in 2005 using two Technics 1200 M3D turntables and a Vestax PMC-37 mixer. Elias (E-Train) had just purchased a vocoder, so we all decided to play around a bit. Thankfully, somebody remembered to hit record, and also thankfully, the file was recently found in an old back-up folder.

DJ Sonar (of Tahoe Jungli), E-Train, and MC Blaze are known for their involvement in the South Lake Tahoe jungle scene of the early 2000’s, but Tyler is the highlight of this recording. Tyler is the best drummer on this side of the Mississippi, and he is a man of many talents. Tyler’s lyrical mastery is one of these talents, and his style shines throughout this recording. His highlights include “Me & Pete,” “Blazing with the Blaze,” and “Rap, Rap, Metal.” With three MCs rhyming along to a soundtrack of atmospheric drum & bass, this recording will never cease to amaze listeners.
