Strophariaceae is the scientific name of a species of psilocybin mushrooms so named due to their entheogenic properties resulting from the different chemical substances they possess, mainly psilocin and psilocybin. This substance incorporated into the body, modifies affectivity, the relationship with the environment and behavior. Depending on the dose, intermittent psycho-sensory phenomena may occur. It provides a dreamlike visionary state of consciousness and an increase in perception.
