A stunningly beautiful tune by Ivan Drever, played brilliantly by Duncan Chisholm and Ivan on Duncan's album "Redpoint". I'll not get anywhere near as well as they played it, but I do love this tune. We visited Stoer, and I would have played it on my accordion then and there, but typical Scottish weather, blowing a gale! The picture shows the lighthouse at Stoer.

Chris O’Sullivan is a self-taught musician, singer, Musical Director, composer and arranger, with his first solo album “Years in the Making” debuting in December 2019. He has been involved in several musical projects in various genres from a young age. Chris plays a wide range of musical instruments including piano, guitar, bass, harmonica, bouzouki and whistles.

His musicianship encompasses solo performance, duets, collaborations with many bands on the Dublin and Irish scene, studio recording as a session pianist, work with various stage schools nationwide and the musical direction of such choirs as The Cabinteely Gospel Group (2008-2015), Muckross Adult Choir (2018-present) and Songs in the Key of D (2013-present) -  having performed in venues which include Vicar Street, The Mansion House, The National Concert Hall, Liberty Hall Theatre, Trafalgar Square and the Olympia Theatre.

Welcome to Harrogate Folk Club Soundcloud Site. We feature tracks that our magnificent regular singers and musicians have chosen to best represent themselves. The tracks also serve to showcase the wide range of talents that go to make up a typical Singers’ Night at Harrogate Folk Club. In Corona-virus-free times we usually meet on the first Sunday each month from 7:30 to 10:30pm. Our aim is for people to enjoy listening to, and taking part in, high quality traditional, roots and contemporary music, featuring the best of local and national musicians.

Enjoying making music in Harrogate and playing various venues including Harrogate Folk Club on the first Wednesday of every month.  I played the folk clubs in County Durham in the 60's; many venues in East Anglia with the folk group Merlin in the 70's and 80's; played jazz in Devon through the 90's; and had a fantastic musical time in Goodrich through the 'noughties' with Andy Herbert on bass in the bands - Loose Covers, Twisted Blues, Trilemma, and Twisted Jazz. Enjoyed 10 great years as guitarist for the Monmouth Big Band and am now focusing on playing acoustic instrumentals and songs in Yorkshire. Enjoy!

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
Sony Music & Talbert St. Claire were in talks back in 2002. Sony wanted to sign Mr. St Claire to a smaller & well-known label owned by Sony Music. In 2003, Talbert's Tears of The Forest music was used by 3-time Emmy & Grammy Award Winning Photographer Leonard Chamblee for a private film.

In Talbert's own words, "I enjoy being in the studio & that's where all the cool stuff really happens. I am being paid to perform and releasing a product for consumption. Nothing compares to playing at home without an audience. Just me & my Low Whistles."
