The track drags the ghost of the 1950s nuclear warning filmstrip into the present, welding it to a slow-burning industrial pulse. Think of it as an instrumental detonation: slow, heavy, and unrelenting, with grinding textures ruptured by sudden nuclear blasts — loud, jarring eruptions that rip straight through the calm.

This is the 1950s warning reel re-wired: the mushroom cloud as metaphor, Cold War fear transposed onto today’s fractures. The explosions aren’t just sonic; they’re symbolic. A world lurching back towards authoritarian reflexes and fascist echoes, history threatening to repeat itself under different flags.

My newest jazz album continues this tradition — short-lined swing tracks, conversational duets, and tongue-in-cheek storytelling. It’s an homage to late-night alleyway ballads, rooftop serenades, and train station goodbyes — all bound together with a sense of charm and cohesion. Each song is its own little scene, but together they tell a story — one you can revisit with each replay.
